On the Super Mushak trainers. The 4 units unveiled are at no cost to Nigeria at all. They are gifts.

This is from the Nigerian CAS. The reports from Quwa and flightglobal.com aren't completely accurate.

paki**** is cash strapped , country is basically running on loans , all recent military acquisitions r on loans so what QUWA (sourced from flightglobal) says makes sense.

Are you aware a lot of countries, a large majority of countries pay for there military equipments using bank loans?

You are aware that I can lend you something at no cost to yourself, right?
And I suspect PAC Kamra chairman AM Arshad Malik, who spoke to Flight Global, knows just a little bit about the deal his company has concluded with Nigeria.

When you put it like this, i guess you are right. A gift could also mean a lot of things. Given totally or provided in the interim.

I honesty doubt these guys know more about the arrangement than the CAS, he said the 4 units are gifts not a loan, they don't mean thesame thing.

I've just listened to your CAS again; it's a loan.
At some stage he says, "these 4, plus the technicians, the pilots who'll help build capacity, are given at no cost to Nigeria."

I'm not entirely sure whether in Pakistan it's possible to give humans as gifts.

ok ( since personally i have no info on this from my sources )

Those are development banks. Those aren't consumer banks, i was specifically referring to banks operating in the consumer sector.

Nemesis, we can all see your comments no need painting them in red, or are training to become a painter?

I quoted you with a video, the video is an open source we can all see. There's no requirement for "hidden sources".

consumer banks ??

first time i am hearing about this so please enlighten me

name one country which took a loan from a consumer bank to buy weapons (u obviously know many as mentioned in previous post)

The Republic of South-Africa took loans from consumer banks, Standard Bank of South-Africa and some other consumer banks or should i say commercial banks so you'll understand better to finance their 1999 arms purchases( Gripen, Frigate, Hawk and Submarines). I don't think the government has finished paying off the loan, I'm not sure.

That's an example of how some countries depend on consumer banks. Some others can seek financing from the big banks within the countries they intend to purchase from.

Those banks could source for dollars from other vendors if they don't have dollar reserves to back up. For example in Nigeria state governments borrow a lot from commercial/consumer banks. More than 60% of the Federal government's debt is owed to local creditors. It's just business.

interesting (thanks for the info)

just some other queries
what about the collateral ?
who will be the guarantor ?
and what if the government itself defaults on the loan

P. S: all commercial banks provide consumer and BBG services. I only mentioned them because you talked about development banks.

The banks know how to go about the negotiatons.

They're all over Osun State. Alot at Ife, modaikeke.
Lol... Indeed. Except you are talking of another Osun state and another modakeke. There's not even a SINGLE of it in Iwo, Ila as of now. The one in Mayfair, Ife, had been STATIONED(Left) there since its induction....serving basically as Police post at the roundabout section of Mayfair.
There's none of those proforce vehicle in modakeke(maybe you don't know the place), the only place they still stationed one of those vehicles is Lagere simply Because it's where various Banks are sited(and the vehicle deployed is not even proforce). Go to thhe state capital, hardly will you see one, check the Governor's office complex route, the Police Building atPowerline, you won't see any.
Iwo was given an armoured Hilux from Proforce, it's been sent back to HQ and replaced with the vehicle in the picture i uploaded earlier.

Lol I know all the areas you mentioned. Probably I'm mixing them together sha but I'm sure I have seen one Proforce around Lagere and during my grandpa burial, one Proforce APC was Noticed.

I'll ask my dad tho. He once worked at Osun State command.

Not privy to that. But what i'm aware of is that they had atleast three distinct "Types" of those Proforce vehicles. I can still recollect that the armoured hilux sent to Iwo had this kinda weird sound while in transit(not from the engine though, most likely from gaps created from the re-engineering of the vehicle's carriage). The vehicle was made to look like those olden days bullion vans.
Frankly, Proforce is better now than then, alot of improvement in their vehicles.
