God please let this bill become law in Nigeria soonest. This will cause the various states to look inwards thereby harnessing their natural resources. It will also elicit healthy competition among states. I want everyone to know that each state is richly endowed with both human and natural resources. The begining might be tough for those states that their resources have not been developed yet. But sooner than later every state would find her bearing. It will stop do or die politics. It will stop agitations and unrest. This is the type of bills /laws we want to move Nigeria forward. If Mr President refuses to accent to it the House should utilize their powers to make a law. It is well with Nigeria. 1 Like |

herzern1: If u ar conversant with ur constitution u would know that they can pass the bill into law with or without the President's approval. The only thing that can stop them is if the bill in question goes against a law in the constitution, then it would require constitution amendment which entails 2/3 of the state assemblies approving it before it becomes law. Aside that, nothing else can stop them, with President's approval or not, national assembly can pass a bill into law. 3 Likes |

herzern1:If he vetoes it, it comes back to the house, after passing through 1st, second and third reading and it's adopted, it becomes law without presidential assent. Legitimacy rest with the people and the National assembly is a representative of the people. Only our desert brothers would not like to hear this until babu finds what he is looking for in the Chad basin |

Kingbuhari: Not sure if you know this isn't tribal issue it's political. Besides it's only northern politicians I've seen against it. Then SW states also support this aswell. Even northern politicians wIould do it for their own self interest for tax revenue. Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/10/restructuring-nigeria-yoruba-agenda-yakasai/ 1 Like |

If they like let it pass 20th reading, they came late. This will tell you that this people are deliberate about their wickedness and injustice to the breast that feeds the Nation. All their latest hurry hurry to calm the Boafrans will never work. All we need is Biafra. Very soon people like Mind44 will be ashamed of themselves for banning people over Biafra related comments. 2 Likes 1 Share |
