You are using a third party sponsor. You have to provide evidence of ur relationship with ur sponsor. Make your tuition fee commitment to your university in Canada and attach the receipt. Get an affidavit of sponsorship from your sponsor. Add ur personal assets and SOA. Add your sponsor's assets and SOA. famous17: 1 Like |

Ouote author=Mikymiko post=51724987] The tuition is very high. I only ask you his one year tuition cost. He should add his NPC birth certificate to prove that his sponsor is the father. Let his father swear an affidavit of sponsorship on his behalf before a Notary Public. Let him include his parents assets. He may also increase the tuition deposit to 10,000 CAD as his tuition fee is very expensive. (just to try convincing them with a greater commitment).[/quote] The tuition fee came with the admission letter, thanks. Since it was only stated that insufficient funds was the problem, is der any need requesting the GCMS file? Should he request for a refund frm the sch or just add to wat he paid while deferring to another term |

Insufficient fund is simple to tackle. Just for him to do what I've adviced him to do and pray for success. It is simple if he believe he can make it. Frostbaby: 1 Like |

Mikymiko: No need to request for GCMS? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Nobody: 9:28pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
Frostbaby:It is at his discretion to know whether he will file for his GCMS as guaranteed under the freedom of information act. I've just adviced him (through you) to address where I believe there is deficiency in his previous application. He should address it and submit a renewed application. |

Mikymiko: Please, with that amount of sch fees @39k, how much shld he pay more. He paid 2000 already. Cn he just defer n add to the fees instead of asking for a refund? 1 Like 1 Share |

Thanks to all those who shared their success stories and the most honor is bestowed unto those who shared their rejection stories, nothing can ever defeat you in life because you are people of courage. Never knew Nigerians could be this communal until I stumbled upon this thread. I submitted my application since September 30th via paper mode and there is no update other than medical passed. It is the positive people on this thread that is keeping me sane. Thank you. 4 Likes |

Mikymiko: Lol. "Mr-Know-it-all" did not work for me before, it's why I am here. I wasn't challenging you! Maybe I should have asked: how do you use that link to apply for GCMS. But I also know that nairalanders don't like the lazy... So, please: how do you use that link to apply for GCMS? I looked through and did not see a GCMS link, and I saw:"To send a request you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently in Canada." Does it mean I need someone in that category to do it for me? Thanks. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Nobody: 10:37pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
scimitar:The link @Mikymiko sent to you is the cheapest and fastest.... about 5 CAD... but you may need someone in Canada to apply on your behalf cos I think its only sent to Canada address. In the alternative apply through this website http://gcmsnow.com it very straightforward and reliable you just have to pay 23 CAD and you should get a fed back in 30 days at most. Good luck. 1 Like |

I will appreciate if i can get some little help here. I applied to university of ottawa and university of Ontario Institute of technology (UOIT) for a Master's program in Engineering Management around June July this year 2016 but University of Ottawa declined me an offer but i got an offer there of from UOIT as regards the same course. I am not satisfied with UOIT's world ranking and i feel if i want to study over there, i should do it big. So i paid for acceptance fee just to lock that opportunity and deferred the admission till September 2017. With this i bought time to apply to another school (University of Windsor) and my application is still in progress with them. Now i need other opinions (expert opinions) about UOIT as a school and what they feel or know about them. What is your take about the course engineering management as it is not a common course and only a limited schools over there offer it. Another question is can i proceed with visa application using uoit as cover even though i am hopeful luck shines on my side and i get another offer from other schools but if yes, won't it be detrimental to my visa application since i may have to pay some of d school fees just to show commitment. Please share your views with me. Thank you. |

xyoung: Sorry about the delay. I happen to have that same delay problem, but don't know why. I only just got an email to check my status. Does everyone (online and paper) get that 'final decision email'? Mine was paper that was later linked. I'd like to quickly know why mine was delayed too. Sorry again. |

OK. Now I know why. They simply do not trust my sponsor. Nigeria na wa o.... The Nigerian government agency/commission (now you know) "has not been deemed reliable as in the past he has failed to fulfill his obligations in full", so they ticked ONLY the two financials for me (fees without working, and upkeep...). Well, what can I do in such a case? Perhaps wait till the commission pays the fees then reapply with supporting personal assets and SOA? This one dey out of my hands o... I no get anyone with huge account. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Austinpee4: 1:08am On Dec 08, 2016 |
scimitar: Sorry about your delay. A good way to tackle this is to have them commit financially by paying your fees or transfer the finances for the said scholarship to your personal account where you can readily have funds when the need arise. Attach the proof of these in your re-application. And like you stated already, they probably are aware of the inconsistencies surrounding funding Nigerian students overseas from Govt related scholarships. If you can get a RELIABLE co sponsor with a well funded account you can add too to boost your chances.Depending on who the co sponsor will be, establish your relationship him/her and why the person what to support you even with a scholarship. Huge amount means nothing if you can't prove you have access to the funds in the account. 1 Like |
