Please Fellows,
I am really looking out for now to invest on Treasury Bill but I know nothing about it. I wish I can get a honest Guilder in the house to help out. If I can understand the fundamentals, I know for sure that I will pick up. I can be reached on WhatsApp 08032569889.

Thank you.

Thanks for the next auction dates respectively. Please can you help me with the interest rate for the durations, 91days, 182days and 364days?

Thanks in anticipation to my request.
Here are are the rates for the last auctions
PRIMARY MARKET AUCTION RESULT

TENOR (DAYS) STOP RATE

91 13.99%

182 17.49%

364 18.69%
There might not be much change for next few auctions ahead.
2017 budget will soon be presented to Nass plus inflation is still up there.
So you might as well subtract like 0.02 from last rates and fire down.
Enjoy.

Follow up via customer service
My brother after your comment I followed up by calling diamond bank customercare. It turned out to be a waste of valueable airtime. After assuring me that they would investigate, they called back the next day to tell me that my 18.5% for 364days bid failed because the CBN rate was 18.69. I rejected that explanation and insisted that it was the more reason why my bid should have gone through. They just sent me a text later on to say my complaint has been reviewed and closed, whatever that means. I am not happy with them at all. I had already mapped out what to do with the interest. Just searching for a new bank that would alow me bid with my own rate. I wil just vlose my diamond bank account. Their fuckup these days is becoming too much.

Wow. I can relate to your frustration with them.

I had a similar issue albeit for 91-day tenor and it was resolved a few days later after contacting their Ccare.

Don't stress yourself with banks that do not want you to invest in TBills via primary market.

Go for tested banks that will even allow you to choose your bidding rate.

I tried Diamond bank they failed me and I never went back there. I do my TBills dealings with Stanbic IBTC now.

This is very painful and lousy of them to do that.
Imagine saying your 18.5 was rejected because CBN rate was 18.69. What kind of useless explanation was that. Your bidded rate was obviously lower than CBN rate and should have been successful.
My thinking is that they forgot to put in your bid or someone is playing funny.

Try GTB or StanbicIBTC next time. If you have to move your account away, by all means do.
They should not be allowed to use their reggae to spoil your blues..

The top bank in Nigeria at the moment in terms of everything is Stanbic Ibtc.

NB: They don't offer everything you may need as consumer needs are insatiable but if all other banks frustrate you, Stanbic will give you a more fair deal.

Can someone advise me? 240 pages is a lot to read.
Can I invest N100k in treasury bills? Is Stanbic the best as someone postulated? I would like to keep the money for a year.
Thanks

Yes, a lot of banks Stanbic inclusive will allow 100k. You can fill a form or just write a letter to the bank that you have account in and tell them you want to buy 365 days T bills.

The last page, someone has said when the next auction will be. You can also check online for cbn tbills calendar for the quarter.

I love FCMB. They just sent the alert. 364days @ 18.5%. What diamond bank refused to do for me, fcmb has done without any stress or call and at my own rate. Had I known I would have since gone with them and avoided diamond bank with their terrible customer relations.
