My brother after your comment I followed up by calling diamond bank customer care. It turned out to be a waste of valuable airtime. After assuring me that they would investigate, they called back the next day to tell me that my 18.5% for 364days bid failed because the CBN rate was 18.69. I rejected that explanation and insisted that it was the more reason why my bid should have gone through. They just sent me a text later on to say my complaint has been reviewed and closed, whatever that means. I am not happy with them at all. I had already mapped out what to do with the interest. Just searching for a new bank that would alow me bid with my own rate. I will just close my diamond bank account. Their fuckup these days is becoming too much.

This is very painful and lousy of them to do that.
Imagine saying your 18.5 was rejected because CBN rate was 18.69. What kind of useless explanation was that. Your bidded rate was obviously lower than CBN rate and should have been successful.
My thinking is that they forgot to put in your bid or someone is playing funny.

Try GTB or StanbicIBTC next time. If you have to move your account away, by all means do.
They should not be allowed to use their reggae to spoil your blues..

My broda thanks. I don't have an account with either gtb or stanbic. But I think its high time I opened one. Does Gtb alow one bid with hisbown rate?

The top bank in Nigeria at the moment in terms of everything is Stanbic Ibtc.

NB: They don't offer everything you may need as consumer needs are insatiable but if all other banks frustrate you, Stanbic will give you a more fair deal.

Can I invest N100k in treasury bills? Is Stanbic the best as someone postulated? I would like to keep the money for a year.
