Please house gurus, I was issued an offer of admission by a collgege in Australia, to run a dual packaged course. The school request I submit a financial statement along side other docs including the invoice of payment before they issue me the CoE.
My question:

1. My sposor is my uncle from my maternal side, hence we do not use same surname. Can I present my uncle's bank statement?
What if he writes me a cover letter stating his commitment to sponsor me, and get a court affidavit to prove our relationship? Will the school and embassy accept that ?

You cannot do a Cert III in nursing (nursing assistant) since u alrady have a higher nursing degree here in nursing. U can only progress ma. Bt u can only do dis if u are applying fo a different course, not nursing.

Any program below degree and masters, your sponsor must be your parents or spouse.

Am not sure if the tafe or college you have applied are strict on seeing just your parents or spouse soa. But am pretty sure embassy would want to see your parent(s) or spouse as your sponsor. You can prentend not knowing by furnishing your school with your uncles statement of account and hope for the best.

Sirchino,
I don't think as a Petroleum Engineer enrolling for Construction Project Management (CPM) will help you much. This is because the Construction Project management in SOL is underpinned by courses in Civil Engineering, building construction and in some cases architecture. It is either your undergraduate degree is in CPM or you progressed to that level from those courses i mentioned above. I hope this will help

Thank you for your candid input.

Just thought to diversify my techincal competence and still be on a good stead for o&g sector, same as sol. Though i had gone through the CPM course outline.

Your points are well noted..

When you say work, do you mean work with your statistics degree?
What is your age?
If you want to go back and study for another degree, you must have a good reason why you want to do that, it is very important you'll need to convince the VO why you want to go back and study for a degree that is not related to what you studied previously.

Australian education is one the best in the world and it is expensive. Are you prepared to pay for your education? I won't advice you to go to Australia with the intention of working to pay off your fees.

Have you considered going for a graduate degree?

I am not trying to discourage you, just letting you know what is involved and to try to help you make the best decision.
If you have anymore questions please ask, I can't answer all but other experienced gurus in the house will help you out.

Thank You for your sincere contribution

please help me answer the following:

- Will a graduate degree be cheaper?
- What Post Graduate degrees are available?
- Can I get a PR during the program?
- How much will it cost?
- What is the required GP for any post graduate degree?

Thanks and God Bless!

Like I said earlier Australian education is expensive and rightly so, about a graduate degree being cheaper, I think so and this is because you spend a shorter time (depending on the program between 1.5-3 years, but the average is 2 years in most schools), the truth is, it is all relative and depends on your peculiar situation and choice of study.

It depends on what you're interested in studying, this is what I think you should do, there is a skilled migration program that is ongoing in Australia check the list of occupations and see which closely relates to what you have studied in your undergraduate (check the list here https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/SOL) and choose a masters program from the list, this will help cover the aspects of advanced degree and PR. Also I would advice you to go through this thread from the first page (https://www.nairaland.com/3053069/general-guide-australian-permanent-resident) it will give you a good idea of what you are up against and will help prepare you.

When you have selected a program, do some research on the schools that offer the course of your choice, (use google) on their website you will find the entry requirements and cost of fees, you can compare the different schools and finally pick one, also you should read this thread from the first page so you can familiarise yourself with the study/admission process.

When you have done all these, if you have any further questions maybe regarding visa or anything feel free to ask on here and I'm sure you'll get answers.

Agents aren't promoted on this forum, you gotta DIY. I'm sure by the time you've gone through both threads and done some research yourself it'll be a lot easier you'll have a good idea of what to do.

Best of luck.

With the recent happenings in Nigeria, someone can not depend in this economy for job and all dat or even to continue advanced education bcus, it might not be regarded, unless u are have an overseas degree...
That's aside,

Now, I do not want to waste my time, so I have taken my time to do my finding about leaving the country but DE option I have is Australia, bcus of my findings, and my friends suggestion, I believed Oz, is a good place but, I would like a good advise on what to do based on

1.my chances and the best/easiest way on how to get a pr In Oz.

2.if getting a pr is far fetched, what is the best way to migrate to Australia with a student visa and WHT course will Suite me generally, either as a bachelor or post graduate study..

Please, I need a sincere answer, no matter how hard it May sound, to me
I want to hear them and make my choices bcus time they say waites for nobody,

Just last 2 days, I applied for my e passport which will be due for interview on 14th,so I ve already started my processing gradually, and my father is in support of anything I am doing..

Thanks naira lander as I expect to hearing from you all
