Dedicated to MrPresident1 So his eye will clear. You are not the first predictor and unfortunately for us you would not be the last There is a very large paranoia that is upon 1\4th of humanity: the christian crew This is that the world would end sooner than we think Either by them floating up to the sky and leaving heathens like us to endure 7 years of really bad sh*t Or christ destroys the earth all at once Either way the "righteous" crew don't have much to worry about Well lets look at the number of years the world was predicted to end in the 20th and 21st century alone 20th century 1910: Halley's Comet's tail crosses the Earth and people think that the world will be gassed to death by cyanogen gas. 1914: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon 1915: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon. 1918: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon. 1920: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon. 1923: Wilbur Glenn Voliva: Flat Earth to end 1925: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon. 1927: Wilbur Glenn Voliva 1930: Wilbur Glenn Voliva 1934: Wilbur Glenn Voliva 1935: Wilbur Glenn Voliva 1941: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon. 1941: Victorian scholar Edward Bishop Elliott, based on his interpretation of the Book of Revelation, came up with this date after his earlier predictions in the 1860s proved untrue. 1975: Jehovah's Witnesses: Armageddon. mid-1970s: David Wilkerson: Worldwide economic depression. 1977: William Branham: Destruction of the U.S., termination of all governments into a world government, Second Coming. 1977: Pyramidologist Adam Rutherford: Beginning of the Millennium. 1978: Jim Jones took his cult with him. 1979-1980: John Todd: Installation of a world government ruled by the Illuminati, with Jimmy Carter as the anti-Christ. 1980: Pat Robertson: "A year of sorrow and bloodshed that will have no end soon, for the world is being torn apart, and my kingdom shall rise from the ruins of it." 1981: Hal Lindsey: Pre-tribulational rapture. 1982: Pat Robertson: Great Tribulation. 1982: R.E. And a giant asteroid hitting the Caribbean. Between April 2014 and October 2015: A tetrad of lunar eclipses (or blood moons) will signal the start of the end times, according to megachurch pastor John Hagee. Unspecified time during the reign of Pope Francis, the pope succeeding Benedict XVI. Mediaeval Saint Malachy supposedly predicted Peter the Roman (Petrus Romanus) would be the last pope, Rome would be destroyed and a terrible judge would judge his people 2015: Solar flare. 2015: September 16th MrPresident1, fails horribly. Doesn't know when to shut up 2015: September 23rd (some references give a margin of September 18th to September 25th) Asteroid. 2015: October 7th. eBible Fellowship, an organization vaguely related to the late-Harold Camping, is confident they've got the date right this time. 2016: Tom Wattkins: He had a vision of the Great tribulation claiming to have met the beast of revelation, etc. 2016: April 6, Warren Jeffs, in no way due to a contemporaneous arraignment 2016: May 16, Pastor Richardo Salazar was allegedly told by God that an asteroid fully made of ice, with a 9km diameter, traveling at 30,000km per hour would strike earth killing 1,200 million people. As you probably can tell, that definitely happened and those totally dead 1,200 million people will be forever missed. 2016: June 3-4, Modern scholars got the Mayan date wrong. It was never 2012, rather it was June 2016 and there are plenty of numbers involved. 2016: June 14-August 19, according to this super-reliable-super-honest-super-definitely-NOT-bullshiting "NASA scientist", there was meant to be a magnetic reversal between June and August which would cause the Van Allen belt to fall killing 80% of life on Earth. He got this information from aliens via HAARP. 2016: October 31st, Walid Shoebat alleges that the world is "100% certain" to end on this exact date 2016, Fall: Bible student and computer scientist Nora Roth on MarkBeast.com claims as much through a lot of numerology surrounding seventy "sevens". 2016, December: Bible student and computer scientist Nora Roth subsequently revised her claim to December. 2017: Various Christians: We'll be chipped, and the Great Tribulation begins. Before January 20th 2017: MrPresident1 Appatently didn't learn his lesson Taking after Harold Camping ............ This kind of thinking is really really bad for society, productivity and the progess of the human race That's why people can deny global warming waiting for the end to come Waiting for lord jesus to cone and destroy a society he didn't help build Or when you say natural disasters are as a result of an angry God spilling more of his wrath on an already damaged world that he doesn't help in any way At this point i would advise any end time bible predictor warrior to shut the fukk up 3 Likes |

4kings:well he's not coming back It is more than obvious that he thought he was coming back in the generation of the disciples He never said it in future tense "that generation" he said "this generation" Heck he even said the high priest would see him in the clouds While one can never prove that Jesus walked on water, or healed the sick, or rose from the dead, I believe we can prove with a high degree of confidence — that Jesus was an apocalyptic prophet who promised to return within one generation. And he failed. 2 Likes |

4kings:For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” — Matthew 16:27-28 apologists claim he's talking about the transfiguration. but he said something about rewarding each person which did bot happen during the transfiguration Plus in the other synoptic gospels the transfiguration hapoend before that statement If Jesus was truly concerned that none should perish, he would’ve returned 2,000 years ago, before billions more could perish If Jesus did set a deadline, and failed to satisfy it, it should spell “game over” for Jesus. But as you might imagine, many explanations have been developed to try and explain this situation Peter was the first christian apologist Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Mark 14:61-62(nawa oo this one was so obvious) Unfortunately for us we are "carnal" minded Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.” — Mat. 10:23 (Haba naaaaaaa) Don't forget we hath not the holy spirit It's like he causes dyslexia Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door. 30 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. — Mark 13:29-30 If he actually meant our generation he would have been more explicit. He could have said "that generation" John the Baptist believed it too When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” Matt. 11:2-3 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? … The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. Matt 3:7-10 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Matt. 3:2 When CS Lewis realised this you really know jesus' bleeped up 6 Likes 1 Share |

jonbellion:Answer these questions: 1. John during his last days(being fully aware of that), wrote about the prophecies of the last days(Armageddon) , which you know about. Do you really think he thought that the prophecies were going to be fulfilled before his death? 2. Paul knew about his Death and wrote a letter to Timothy(about the time when most of the disciples might have been dead), to control the church, do u think this action is expected from a man awaiting yahweh's coming? 3. Jesus said that day shall be "like a thief in the night", don't you think this goes in contrast with your misinterpretation? 4. Don't you think the Early Church would have been destroyed if they really held on to this belief while evangelizing to the Romans. 4. Did you read the chapter at all, or you just picked out that verse? 5.If you read that chapter, you would understand that in the preceding verses, Jesus was talking about future generations(prophesying), Why should the context change when he got to that verse? 2 Likes 1 Share |

4kings:1.Authorship of the book has been questioned over the centuries, but the prevailing view is that it was written by a man named John of Patmos, a.k.a. John the Theologian, who was neither John the Apostle nor John the Evangelist. The book is traditionally dated to the time of the Roman emperor Domitian and at a time when Christians were being seriously persecuted, and the book is viewed as an allegory of persecution or a call for them to buck up and stay strong 2. It is very likely 3. Not really According to the christian doctrine we are in the last days so it would supposedly happen any time from now but we just don't know when. 4.I did. That is the passage talking about the fig tree 5. Is this really what you'd call prophesying Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.“ (Matthew 24: 25-34) This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none, and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy as though they had no goods, and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the present form of this world is passing away.” (1 Corinthians 7:27,29-31) We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed“ (1 Cor. 15:51) “…the coming of the Lord is near. …the Judge is standing right at the door.” (James 5:8, 9) Jesus didn’t say “that generation” which would be the normal way of referring to a future generation. He said “this generation”. Besides through a plain common sense reading of the text, we know he meant the people alive while he was speaking because he said that some of his listeners and the high priest at his trial would still be alive to see his return to Earth. Didn't you see he told the high priest .Only a mind interested in maintaining the illusion of faith could twist and mangle the plain words of the Bible the way Christians have in an attempt to make it credible... The job of apologetics. an honest person would have no choice but to admit that Jesus’ prophecy of the end of days has failed to come true. CS Lewis even recognised this though he was a christian he was honest I thought you were a diest I'm just trying to let MrPresident1 know that he should stop all this baseless assumptions Even if I'm wrong and Jesus is actually coming back nobody knows for sure the exact time frame 5 Likes 1 Share |

jonbellion:Answer to No:4 is kinda weak. You twisted No:6 Read Mathew 24:5-8, does that sound like stuff that could happen within say 40years(that is the number of years the disciples had left)? John the beloved wrote the book of revelation oga. Wasn't he alive during this Emperor Domitian Era? The only controversy, was of a different style of writing, but this might be due to old age. And also, only John recognized Jesus as the Word. You better repent for the Kingdom of God will come like a thief in the night. ............................................................. I just feel like defending the mainstream beliefs of the Bible . 1 Like |

Op, u can't blame them now... Even their lord and master, Jesus had his own failed prophecy about his coming... I assure you that there are some here who will not die until they have seen the Son of Man come as King.” Matthew 16:28 So, if their God can be so blatantly wrong about his second coming, his followers must also follow suit.
