LOl...it is the other way round. The amount of lies and hate message being spread by Igbos against Yorubas is alarming. It didn't start today..it actually started in the 1950s. Take for example, I saw a thread where a guy said Igbos properties in the West were ceased after the war. I laughed so hard....despite the countless accounts of Igbos personally stating that they were welcomed with both hands by the Yorubas after the war. My conclusion is this...the "playing victim attitude of Igbo" is a major problem for them. Yorubas have always been liberal, the reason why the WESTERN part of Nigeria is the place with the highest representation of every tribe in Nigeria. Yorubas believe in live and let's live. But they expect the visitors to know their bounds and respect the landlords.

So had it been Azikwe was elected premier of the Western region, we would have had 2 Igbos as Premiers, one for east and one for west, then One for the whole north.

Without twisting history, I knew the first elective post Azikwe got was from through the Yoruba votes in Lagos...

Nobody should blame the Yorubas for rejecting Azikwe to be their premier. Even up till today, a man from Anambra cnt be a governor in Imo, likewise a man from Osun State cnt be a governor in Ondo State.

I am indifferent to that history
that is it bro, but azikwe turned it to tribalism.

Igbos and Yorubas are not the same and will never be the same. We were caged into the same jungle by people who came to form their empire. The Igbos have tried to leave once and were forced back by a coalition of the Yorubas and their allies in the North.

Fifty years after their fathers were forced back to the colonial jungle, the sons and daughters of Igbos who fought in the Biafran war are marching in the streets demanding a separate country from the Yorubas and their allies in the north and thousands have been killed this year alone. The yoruba leader Tinubu laughed at an opportunity for restructuring of this colonial jungle when he scorned the Constitutional Conference organised by President Jonathan two years ago.

In short, we no be the same and we dont want to be in the same country with you. Stop propaganda and lies and join in the cause to restructure and hopefully split asap cool

The fact remains the first ever elective post nnamdi azikwe ever occupied was in the west, yorubas voted for him.

But he wanted to become our premier and politics was played out.

What the igbos can't allow in their region, they like doing it somewhere else.

Abia sacked workers of imo state descent, whereas igbos are permanent secretaries, directors, special advisers in ogun state.

You even have internal tribalism in your region
...You are on point to the core. Besides, he(Late Nnamdi Azikwe) was not a deep man borne to be a great leader. And Yoruba Race don't settle for less but the best. The choice chosen played out well and history beckon on it. Nnamdi Azikwe was made the secretary because he was a minority in the party formed by Herbert Macaulay. And the party was a movement against the British colonialist and its antics. Late Obafemi Awolowo was 100% better than Late Nnamdi Azikwe. As simple as ABC. For example, Awolowo brought Guinness stout to Nigeria and Nigeria bottling company to the South West etc. What did Nnamdi Azikwe brought to the South East?. Brainless generation, stop comparing. The British has done more harm to Yoruba Race than any other. How can they merge Yoruba with people that lacked respect for old age or grey hair men and women and those that have no value for human life?.My God! this is truly a fairy tale.

Stop lamenting! Go and read history to confirm. Nothing as good as seeing the truth the way it is. After all, Yoruba Bible was used to standardize even Your EBOE language and not the nonsense lies you call yourself today as “IGBO".

Lagos is a no man's land thats why you couldn't take the properties...
Yorubas welcomed us with open arms yet it was awolowo that introduces the indigenization policy, he was the one that that issued the policy that gave every Igbos €20 for each bank investment...
So much for live and let live.
Yorubas don't own Lagos and won't dictate to us how we live in Lagos so far as Nigeria continue to exist...

Lol...even the inherent hatred in your genes is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf......

I wonder why many of your people think through their anus rather than their heads....Imagine, so Awolowo was the Head of the Government that made the pronouncement?....when your blood is a little warm find out.....I totally agree with you Lagos is a no man's land, infact the whole of SW is, afterall, Igbos were given back their properties they left behind in the whole region...Lagos is such a no man's land, that the Governor and his cabinets are from all over Nigeria rather than a particular tribe. Other tribes except Igbos have been living together in every part of the country without issue, you know why? cos of mutual respect (respect for the host by inhabitants and vice-versa) But Igbos have been having issues with every tribe from time immemorial, from Port-Harcourt to Lagos to Kano to Kaduna....."WHY ALWAYS IGBOS" I know you are too deluded to see the anomaly...Just continue to masturbate on your delusions, it is self-relieving...

Bigots will be pulling out trash from their smelly asses and tagging it historical values, in the bid to smear the great Igbo nation. Ever wonder why Nigeria remains a shiit hole.... example is on how they keep voting on tribal lines, and banging their asses to perpetual recession. Predictably, 2019 will still witness another mass delusion and tribal trepidation from that same bigot tribe. Tribal hypocrites .

I can safely say that the original poster is the product of failed educational system of Nigeria. It is unfortunate you are trying very hard to defend a fallacy written by your tribal goon. There was nothing such as NNPC founded by Macaulay. Azikwe was never a member of NNPC as stated by the poster. Entire Lagos was part and parcel of western regional government even though a nation's capital with special mandate from the federal government.

Abi O jare!!!

I thought Zik the fake nationalist was born and raised in the north, why then didn't he try being premier there as a "nigerian"?

The mere fact that Zik wanted to be premier in yorubaland is in itself, tribalism. Why does an ibo man wants to be placed in charge of yoruba affairs? Yorubas says "Ti eru ba joba"...............the slave will not defend the land with his life and we all saw what zik did by remembering and returning to his father's land to take up leadership role among his own people.

I love my (blood) brother very much but then i still won't leave him in charge of my home, businesses, houses, wives, kids and even concubines when i am fairly capable and available to take care of my life. Meanwhile, the extant relationship between ibos and yorubas at the time in question, was anything both brotherhood in nature.

Soyinka is the probably the first person to show us that nobel prize in literature may not be worth that much.
While Achebe was destroying age-long white superiority passed down by respected but bigoted racist writer joseph conrad, your soyinka was busy kissing as$.
Fast forward to the future, Achebe is by far the most recognized and most respected.
The south west is backward. Your pre-historic roofs, your cave-lives habitation, your obtuse traditionalism bears testament to your backwardness. Even your very visage looks backward.
It also shows why lagos is located at the very edge, almost demarcated from the rest of yoruba primitiveness.
Comparing the south west to the ever-developing, real estate haven called the south east is criminal.

Yet no one is fulfilled in the South East until they relocate as fast as possible to the west

For every Yoruba man relocating to the east, there are 500 Easterners making the reverse journey

You can lie with everything, you cant lie with human traffic, Human traffic will always follow prosperity and leave red soil, Just like animals will always find where there is abundance and leave the desert

Not in literature but playwright. Nobel crap is a tool of European supremacist and could not have been accepted by Achebe. After Achebe dealt a number on the European psychic with his critical essays and the world acclaimed novel titled "Things Fall Apart", the dumbasses from European committee behind the Nobel crap decided to slight him by awarded the crap to a Nigerian of unknown quality. There is nobody in Africa who has no clue about "Things Fall Apart". One wonder the crap Soyinka wrote to warrant the so-called Nobel joke.

I think he just benefited from the achebe ordeal at the hands of racists.
Achebe was under sanctions for daring to speak against a notable white writer worshipped throughout Europe.
Winning a nobel prize then would have been a miracle.

Soyinka is the probably the first person to show us that nobel prize in literature may not be worth that much.
While Achebe was destroying age-long white superiority passed down by respected but bigoted racist writer joseph conrad, your soyinka was busy kissing as$.
Fast forward to the future, Achebe is by far the most recognized and most respected
.

Lolllllllllllss...................I keep saying it you peoples delusion na follow come......Come back and talk to me about the WORTH of NOBEL PRIZE in LITERATURE when you can boast of 1 in your entire TRIBE....You know you people are so predictable, I knew that would be your next line of defense....so weak and lame....try harder next time.
Your claim about Achebe would have been a little bit worthy of consideration if you have statistical record or a documented survey to back it up but rather and as usual, you relied on your personal sense of fantasy and delusion. NOTE ACHEBE DIED without a nobel prize....IF Professor Soyinka had died after 1986 when he got the award, his death in 1986 would still be more valuable than the death of Achebe, 20 years after. SOYINKA belongs to the league of NOBEL LAURETTES, achebe ISNT!!!!....you can kill yourself for that.

EVEN your elders would be disappointed in you for comparing SOUTH WEST with SOUTH EAST in terms of development............It has been documented and confirmed (google would help your naivety)...........SOUTH WEST is the most developed region in NIGERIA since pre and post independence and till date.....The total number of industries in the south east is lesser than the total industries in OGUN STATE; infact OTTA alone...........stop typing lies and rubbish as response...IT IS BETTER TO KEEP SILENT and BE THOUGHT a FOOL THAN TO TYPE and REMOVE all DOUBT.
