Wahala started when i got an alert for 31,500 naira, and within 2 seconds, the money reversed. After 5 mins, again the money credited but I was not comfortable with the first reversal. How can one send money and then reversed the money again, later to send again, when the person no be bank. My antenna went up instantly and i decided to check the transaction details on my dashboard to find out that the money has not reflected in my account.

First warning sign: On the receipt, there was no account number and account name. The SENDER NAME and ACCOUNT NUMBER is FUND TRANSFER.

Ok in order to be very very sure again, I immediately messaged the buyer that I was not comfortable with the deal and we should make deal open on nairaland. He has since refused to tell me his nairaland moniker and him say i dey sing "moniker moniker for him ear".

It's possible that a seller may not have a Nairaland account or moniker (he/she may just be a guest) unless he/she told you otherwise. Besides, have you checked your balance to know if you have increase in your balance and by how much? You may contact your bank customer care to ascertain the cause of the reversal (technology can be funny stones). If you find no problem at all, pay the guy asap to maintain your reputation. Do this fast to avoid hurting the guy if found legit. Don't hold people to ransom just because they do not have Nairaland Id. I strongly recommend that you contact your bank customer care to know the cause of the reversal. My 2cent

Thank you Obasy and I understand fully with your point. I have checked my balance on my dashboard and my book balance is different from my main balance. I already told seller once this matches up, I will send him his order or money whichever he prefers. I will update as soon as this clears up. I understand this could happen to anyone. If buyer does not have a nairaland account, he could have told me easily and we could have resolve this. His refusal to address the issue about the receipt not having a sender's name and account number made me bring the case here.

I got blow this evening when i purchase $60 bitcoin from Emoch.Initially i transfered the money but due to network my account was debited and later reversed. I later succeed in the transfer which he got alert and the receipt for the transaction which he confirmed since 06:31pm. What he is busy asking me is my Moniker. My question is must you publish transaction you made on NL pls if you know that guy tell him to credit my wallet or refund my money enough of all this.
