Hello house, thanks for all your contributions
Please I am using my dad and his friend as a sponsor
How do I prove relationship with my dad's friend as we neither bear the same surname nor related
Urgent replies needed
Thanks

Hello,

I think you should ask your dads friend to pay the money into your account and write a letter of financial support stating why he wants to support you(he might link this to his long standing relationship with your father as well as his interest in your passion for education) .He should also swear an affidavit(notarized copy is better).
Your dad should also acknowledge him in his own letter.
I hope this helps.

When using a third party, three things must be considered:

Number of dependents
Proof of relationship/ reason for sponsorship
Adequate inflow and outflow of funds

Sorry i dont know about those courses, but the problem in your intention is "switch". While it is possible to and still get TRV, it is very hard with slim chances. Consider continuing your previous course. This is also advised in an Indian thread I came across recently.

Lol can't fit to continue Mass Comm, boring boring course..
Thanks

Thanks for the reply once again. But one last question to you and every elder in Canada ( studying, PR or citizen) because I know you are all busy.

For someone accepted by MA program at Uvictoria of BC(Co-op) and UofToronto(no co-op), with full scholarship covering fees and upkeep, which will you choose or advise to choose, and why? Thank you.

I assume you have full scholarship for both programs. If so, in as much as U of T is enticing (being the top Uni in Canada), I will go for U of Vic. The reasons are, 1. The U of Vic program has a Co-op, with this you can continue working with the company after graduating, and if unfortunately you aint retained, at least you would have 6 months of Canadian work experience which gives you competitive advantage in the labour market. 2. Comparatively, the labour market in Victoria BC is less competitive to that of Toronto. 3. Though Victoria is the capital of BC, it is a smaller city with serene and calm environment compare to crazy big city environment of Toronto. 4. BC is just one hell of beautiful province smiley
