Pep took iheanacho off yesterday because he wasn't satisfied with his performance, not because he was being bullied like some one here wants us to believe. This is the reason why U was always against hun being converted to an out and out striker. There is More to his game than goals. I fear for his place in January when Gabriel Jesus rejoins than. 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:This your attempt at defending City's loss by blaming the referee is laughable. Wait...how come it's only City fans that are moaning about him? I watched the match on SS, the analysts didn't talk about the penalty or referee's decisions in the match. If you are need a goal and still remove the only striker you have and bring a midfielder to play in front, then it's obvious you have no trust in that striker. Pep is not good for Kelechi. He's making him a bad player. Your attempt at defending Pep is becoming more and more ridiculous every day. 5 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:if you claim that nacho was substituted as a result of the physical nature, then you are saying nacho will not thrive in epl because virtually every matches played in epl are of physical nature. Same clear cut chances were created immediately after nolito took over iheanacho's position which led to city's second goal. Iheanacho is not a top striker! |

TheGoodJoe:Then draft in d likes of Adarabioyo coz your old defenders lack d pace or cannot cope with intense strategy of Guardiola. My guy no need for excuses,Guardiola is getting it wrong tactically for now, need to adjust his team to suit his old defenders. |

Kog45: That is the question on lots of City fans. We have the likes of Mari at Girona, Denayer at Sunderland, Tosin, Maffeo and Angelino. We feel they will offer more but that decision rest on Guardiola. Remember, these guys also had some good games like the one against Barcelona. I hope this defeat spurs some urgent actions. |

joseph1013: I already found the attitudes of the panel of analysts questionable. They did not address any of the penalty calls which is routine to analysing. I will accept them saying It was a tough call for the referee but a total not looking into it, showed bias. A big one. I am not defending City's poor performance yesterday. I wonder where you got that. I said, we lost a fighting chance with the clear bias officiating. I do not expect people like you to stick up for City during Bias officiating because you were all mute with questionable calls in the Chelsea game. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:12pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
blueto: Iheanacho does not create clear cut chances. That is the job of the midfield. Our performance improved in the second half after Yaya dropped to midfield and Nolito took the forward role. That was the earlier sub zicky talked about that Gundogan was the right call. Not Iheanacho's sub. As I also said before, Iheanacho did not get protection. No attacking player will thrive without protection. It is basic football not an Iheanacho thing. |

DrinkWater10: STOP being ridiculous. Pep took of Iheanacho for Yaya Toure. That is enough for you to understand what was going on without me pointing it out. You guys love me repeating the same thing over and over again. Think. Why would Pep take Iheanacho of for Yaya Toure? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by safarigirl(f): 2:19pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
blueto:so what will we do about that? We can only post our opinions here, opinions I strongly doubt anyone in City reads anyways, so I don't know why everyone is losing their minds over a bad game. I didn't see any of you on Tuesday when he played against Celtic, did he play as an SS in that game? It's always easy to criticise a player after a bad game and remain conveniently silent after a good one. Tomorrow, when he posts a good performance, we'll forget this talk again. My own is just for him to leave City to another club (that will most likely play him as a TS anyway...)in January, but he should sha leave. Since the great Jesus is coming to magically score all the goals City need to win games as well as protect the net so they don't concede, let Kelechi 'John the Baptist' clear road and find a greater assignment 4 Likes |

Mickael2: Your just talking out of point. False 9 The False 9, in some ways similar to a more advanced attacking midfielder/playmaker role, is an unconventional lone striker or centre-forward, who drops deep into midfield. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_(association_football) |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:28pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
Mickael2: Someone like you should make objective points than dribbling to suit your drivel of Iheanacho having a poor game. De Bruyne, Silva lost balls. De Bruyne made Shocking crosses. Yet you guys are picking on Nacho. How can you talk about stretching defence and Nacho? He did that perfectly well for Christmas sake. That is why he had limited time on the ball. He worked hard and kept on running. I did not see you or your misplace pass crew point it out. As I said, I will only take anyone who points the good side of Nacho's game along with any criticism seriously because most of you wore sunshades to the good things he did. Imagine, stretching defense. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:31pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
Mickael2: Say it as it is. Do not defend wrong. How can someone who does not know what dropping deep of a Striker is be spot on? When Iheanacho dropped deep, he made some accurate connecting passes. He showed some nice first touches. He showed amazing speed. Yet, very few point this out and I find it Shocking. It was a poor display from the team but the young man worked very hard for the team despite the poor protection of the referee. |

goldfish80: No my friend. Not tensed. I was impressed by his Super speed. I did not expect Iheanacho to get to the ball. I screamed when he got it. With my hands raised up. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:37pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
safarigirl: Reports say Guardiola will blend in Gabriel slowly into the team. He will not rush him. Let the young men fight for the role. Reports making ground is that Guardiola might cut off Aguero from the squad. So Nacho and Gabriel may share the role. My problem is DE Bruyne. He is showing poor attitude linking the midfield with the attack. He makes bright runs, works hard but leaves Nacho stranding. I hope Pep moves him wide in the next game and slip Silva or Gundogan behind Iheanacho. |

goldfish80: Your reminding me of that your bloody blunder again. Why was Saviola who joined Barcelona the golden boy. Xavi started playing for Barcelona senior team in 1998 and Saviola joined in 2001, yet you want them to call Xavi golden boy in 2001. Na WA for you. |

TheGoodJoe: your love for Man city won't allow you get my point. Somebody who, according to you, dropped deep all game long could not have stretched the defence, you know what stretching the defence means right? To make it easier, not inwards stretching when the defenders will need to follow you into the midfield in a bid to cover you, but stretching the defence as in push the center backs towards their own box. What was Iheanacho functioning as yesterday? A false 9 or a top 9? You can see that he wasn't stretching the defence well enough by the number of over the top passes he received, he was too concerned with playing in the middle of the pitch, he never varied his positioning to confuse defenders. Do you need pictures of Nacho's heat map? He was mainly found in the advanced midfield position like I pointed out earlier |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 3:01pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
TheGoodJoe: he made 7 accurate connecting passes in the entire game, that is hardly applaudable. Will we eat his amazing speed? Amazing speed without timing and control is reminiscent of Ikedia not a world class player. Ok, he showed amazing speed in that game but it wasn't effective so I don't see how that's helping your cause |

Mickael2: oga and I am telling you that nacho was not poor simple...how do you watch a game self...is it until he dribbles the whole field that you acknowledge him...his link up play was good, his pressing was good, he had no delivery in that match, man city players don't pass the ball to nacho enough, he was being bullied by huth and morgan(premier league winners)...they only limited his effectiveness by always pulling crosses that were not entering....kelechi entered all the right postions, he gave two clear cut chances that his team mates wasted...this boy is only 20, he can't boss every match but you saying he had a bad game is shambles.. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Nobody: 3:05pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
safarigirl:I wasn't very happy with his performance against Celtic. I watched the highlight and saw some glaring chance that he missed, and I'm of the opinion that man city would have trounced Celtic if iheanacho was at his best in that game. Because I shunned expressing my dissatisfaction regarding nacho performance on this platform doesn't mean I was enraptured by it. I support your assertion on his exit, he should leave. But I'm still resolute on the opinion that he is better as a supporting striker, at least that was what earned him a man city switch, and his 4 goals for super eagles in a row until he played as a top striker and couldn't maintain such impressive run. 1 Like |

People gave you Stats,Facts and Ratings of expert. Provide stats to prove he had a good game. I stopped taking you serious when you said Messi wouldn't be a top player without Ref Protection? I ask how many Set-piece has Messi scored in his career? |
