This is my opinion and from friends experience.... A pregnant woman apply for tourist visa will likely be refuse visa except she has a very good travel history I'm talking about visit to Europe,Canada,Australia and Japan for vacation or business,they will issue her a visit visa while a pregnant woman with no travel history(Applied for tourist visa) with very good ties (Good financial history,children and husband in Nigeria,Business in Nigeria) they may likely refuse her.
Now for pregnant women who applied for Medical visa and with good ties must not apply with husband but can apply with the kids and living arrangement in the U.S must not be more than 3 weeks.
As a pregnant woman it's 50-50 getting a medical visa even after making payment,correspondence with doctor,good living arrangement etc
You need to understand that you will have to defend yourself at the embassy and the presence of your husband will not even help your case, I am not saying they do not give couple medical visa but they must get it right at the embassy.

The interview was coming to an end.
VO: Are you going to use this visa, for anything else? (I guess they are tired of change of intent letter )
HUSBAND: No, Just for vacation.
VO: Madam, are you pregnant?
WIFE: Yes, I am.
VO: How far along?
WIFE: 3 Months.
VO: Sorry your visa has been declined/rebuked/rejected.

2nd interview:
I advised my friend to attend without her husband, for medical visa. This is two months after the first interview. She says the interviewer was the same dude that interviewed, her and her husband.
VO: Why do you want to go to houston, texas?
WIFE: For childbirth, I will be on maternity leave.
VO: But in your last application, you said that you were going on vacation!?
WIFE: Yes sir. We were going for vacation, but we have changed our minds and would like to have our child in the US (Probably should have apologised here instead and come clean sha I.M.H.O)
VO: Your credibility is at risk. Two months is too short to change your mind. What do you at your place of work? (I guess he just asked this to fulfil all righteousness)
WIFE: I do xyz.
VO: Sorry your visa has been denied/rejected etc.

Interesting debate abt preggy women and visas. I will like to share my own transcript. I'm 24 weeks pregnant, with a very big tommy. I got my visa in Lagos on Friday 9th Dec. I didn't go with hubby cos he got his visa at our earlier scheduled interview. I had to reschedule mine cos of ds-160 bar code ish. So here is my transcript.

I applied for a B2 visa.

Vo. .. passport Plsss.
Me... gave it to him with a good morning
Vo.... y re u going to the United States
Me... vacation with my husband and we plan to have our baby there
Vo... come again?? Please repeat what you said. . (He sounded kinda suprised. Dunno y . Cos at this point he stopped typing to look at me)
Me... I said I plan to have a vacation withe my husband and we also plan to have our son there.
Vo... oww. What do you do
Me... I'm an engineer, I work for....
Vo.... what type of engineer are u
Me.. chemical Engraved.
Vo.. tell me abt a Chem.. Engr
Me... *I babbled everything I could think of while he types.
Vo... have u travelled B4

At this point I realised he was trying to prove or convince himself dat we re actually married. So I decided to nudge him in d right direction lol.
Me.,. Well, it's really not compulsory dat I do a change of name especially at work as long as I have my marriage certificate to prove it. (I wanted him to ask for marriage certificate and he did)
I passed him d very original cert when he asked. He studies it and compares names.lol
Vo.. Madam at dis moment your visa ha s been approved blah blah blah (I didn't hear d rest of what he said) and I got d white paper... daz all..

Unless the Visa Officer was a sadist, there's no way he won't give you the visa, congrats and a safe birth.

@LadyGuinivere pls I need your help....I once apply back in 2012 for professional course for 18 month but visa was not approve also in 2013 I apply for conference but I did not make it to interview do to business, so now I wanted to apply as family or I wil apply alone for visiting but when I go through my old ds 160 for under the occupation I use business though I own my own company with I use for contract as building contractor but not the company name is (Ventures not LTD) cuz am civil/structural Engr,..how do I go about it if I want to apply now will I put business/contractor under d occupation or is any red flag on it pls just put me tru on how to do it....sorry for any error

but still be refused a point of entry by the CBO officer!

Pls gurus in the house. My sis and her daughter wants to apply for Visa. She filled her form and it was successful but when she started her daughters form as soon as she puts her age (3yrs) the form returns to her own profile. Please, What can she do? People have been advising her to use agent but doesn't want to avoid wahala. So she is going DIY which I'm in total support.

On my way to the US few days ago I met a lady that got her visa on a virgin passport. She said she was advised to engage the visa officer at the interview.

Here is her transcript
Her: good morning
Vo: good morning
Her: how is ur day going? Hope not stressful
Vo: fine thank u. Not stressful at all
Her: oh great
Vo: what are u going to the US for
Her: to attend a conference
Vo: where do u work?
Her: I work with.... state government
Vo: Your visa has has been approved

At the time she was travelling the conference was over because she had a fibroid operation at that time. Her POE was jfk she told them she was now going for vacation and to attend a friend's wedding in Boston and she was stamped in till June 2017.

She has never traveled before not even to Ghana or cotonu . She was highly favored.

Congratulations the law...where did you have your interview, Lagos or Abuja?

Other countries, its like a formality to get a US Visa. They even have something called ESTA, you just pay a fee and fill in the form and just submit it online (I don't think you have to attend an interview) and board a plane and arrive at your POE in the US, a short interview with the CBP and that's all.

Put the name of your company in the appropriate place and explain what you do,your role and how much you make in the appropriate space provided.

A space bar will appear asking you for details of your travel plan like arrival date and where you will stay... it's good for someone attending conference and if you're visiting friends or relatives.
