what they fail to get is that a team need players with lesser ego to put their bodies on the line for maybe other more talented players to shine.

You look @ Fergie's team of recent past & see men like Vidic, JS Park, Keane, Tevez, Rooney, Fletcher, Fortune, etc who made a lot of sacrifices despite their own talents/desires.

Real Madrid tried the All-Star All-Ego route after they let Makalele go, only to fall back to Thomas 'fucking' Graveson.

What a player like Herrera brings is desire & passion, something that should spur others on the pitch to break a bone for the win, such can also be found in Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Lingard & Mata. Jose is doing his best to leverage that rare quality.

I used to defend Herrera cuz I thought he does it with his soul but when I noted the majority voice here didn't see what his contribution is, I lock up make e no be like say Herrera na my cousin or something.

All those players have a position except Park Jin sung.. Herrera's looking more like him now.

Na me ask Jose not to procure a good midfielder?

Maybe herrera is your standard but it isn't mine! He doesn't even have a position!

You wan take style change the point of this discussion.

But I will answer you.

Nobody talked about anybody's standard we are talking about who you would prefer to replace Herrera FROM THE PRESENT SQUAD.

Now you are questioning why Mourinho did not buy a better player than Herrera who would have solved all our midfield problem.

But the pogba that the same Mourinho bought is the one you have tagged INCOMPLETE. so what makes you feel that whoever Mourinho would have bought would be better than Herrera or even better than depay.

Whenever they ask you for solutions or suggestion you will start talking off point but to condemn Herrera even when he played fairly OK and even gave an assist is not good enough for you.

Did Herrera steal your babe?

Lol @bolded. You are very right, and to me Herrera is more than a workaholic, which we can possibly liken Fellaini to, ability to read opponents' movement and passes is a great skill also.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 8:05pm On Dec 11, 2016
Herrera has definitely been one of our best players this season. He presses well, has very good movement in midfield and actually been playing some very good passes.

How did we win the Fa cup? You people keep forgetting that apart from our young guns (Martial and Rashford), Fellaini was one of the major reason the Fa cup was won! And the fact that our winning run came to an end as soon as Fellaini got banned.

BTW, let me take you down the memory lane.. 2 seasons ago (at the latter part of 2014/2015 season when Carrick returned from his injury woe), the team were on fire, scoring plenty of goals as a result but all came to an end as soon as Carrick got injured once again!

I am not talking of previous team, or previous form of a particular player. I am talking of the present team, and present coach, and the way the the team plays.

By the way, I've got nothing but respect for Carrick, I can clearly say Pogba is learning from him, and I hope Herrera also.

No one is condemning Herrera. All I've said is for him to define his role. Upgrading from Cleverley level to Park jin sung is already a sort of archivement and if he keeps improving, he could become a Fletcher.. That's some praise on my part..

Never said there werent any positives. Fact is, Football is a results business and the results have been bad so far. Of course the performances have improved even our haters acknowledge that but the results have been bad.

Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur: Player ratings

David de Gea 7 – Was there to make saves whenever we needed him.

Antonio Valencia 7 – Another Valencia performance from our November player of the season. Powerful and controlled.

Phil Jones 8 – Say it quietly but Phil Jones is starting to show the sort of consistency and quality which brought him to Old Trafford in the first place.

Marcos Rojo 7 – I’m not sure he gets enough credit for being decent at centre-back and that’s coming from me, somebody who is still scared by his name in the starting XI.

Matteo Darmian 4 – Gave Spurs too much space down the left in the first half and Sissoko had him on toast when he came on. Poor performance.

Michael Carrick 6.5 – With him in the team we’re so much more controlled in midfield.

Ander Herrera 9 – He plays like he’s just accidentally let his dog out of the house and he’s chasing to catch it – and I love it. My man of the match for today.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan 9 – Another wonderful goal from a player who is bang in form and is now starting regularly. Superb performance.

Paul Pogba 7 – Still think he holds onto the ball a little bit too long sometimes but Lloris was on fire and the post robbed him of a wonderful free-kick.

Anthony Martial 6 – Really looked like the Martial of last season in that first half. Very direct. Polar opposite in the second, his work rate dropped a lot.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 7 – Excellent hold-up play from him in a game where he was very isolated.

Substitutes

Marcus Rashford 5 – Brought on to help Darmian who was getting rinsed by Sissoko. Not his natural position but at least he learned from the Arsenal mistake.

Eric Bailly 6 – First contribution was to fly into an aerial duel to win the header. I love Bailly. We’re a different force defensively with him in the team.

I've just seen the stats but our central defender's passes no try at all..

30%? 45%? When you aint a goal keeper?

Anyway, what matters is to win!

“I accept it [booing of Fellaini] because you have to accept everything from the fans.

“Especially fans who give so much without getting results he’s a player that I like and a person that I like and the person is more important than the player."

elampiro be looking @ all those who castigated Jones now singing his praise like

Yes, Jones is doing very well. I always knew if he got the chance he would prove his critics wrong. Many people didn't have the opportunity to see him play in central defence, apart from the beginning of 2011/2012 season, he was played out of position by SAF and Moyes, then injury sidelined him.

He looks comfortable despite not playing in the central defence properly in the past.

Seems everyone has forgotten that Darmian is not a left footer.
I do pity him when I see him
.
He seems very jaded and unhappy.

This Darmian case is simple and direct. Move him to the bench. Play Jones and Baily at CB and Rojo at LB with Val at RB. Mou just likes complicating stuff.

Carrick is aging. Mou has got to find a substitute before he capitulates. With games rolling thick and fast, his recovery ight be an issue.

Rojo only started playing sensibly when he was moved to central defence. No need to take him back to LB again.

Honestly. Rojo is better as a CB.

Yes he has difficulties balancing his forward forays and defensive duties at LB, but he is still head and shoulders above Darmian in that position. Shaw is just an inconsistence mofo who can't stay fit to save his own career.
