kwenu: The bolded is incorrect. I don't know where you got that from. Perhaps not German embassy. German embassy requires no proof of German language ability if your program is English-taught. It is not a study visa requirement. Just like in any other country, it is neccessary to learn the language of communication of that country in other to cope with every day living. You be the one to decide if you want to learn this at home prior to your travel or learning in Germany. 1 Like |

Somebody shud pls help me with how I can book or secure accommodation for residence permit application. I was told at the embassy to get evidence or confirmation of reserved accommodation for at at least 1year. I tried to book online, but because of restrictions on int'l money transfer from Nigeria I haven't gotten any,and moreso I cant afford the cost now cos of high exchange presently. Most of dem require deposit fee and all whatnot which amounts to approximately 1000euros which is separate from the rent itself. If you have a way u can assist me or any suggestions, pls do so, it's urgent. cc:kwenu, Nigerian students in Austria |

dynekest: Anything from your sponsor, will be required during resident permit application, not during legalization because they will still check every info that you supplied and the expense is free, unlike the case of paying for the legalization of company's documents which will not be of any use in Austria! |
Re: Anyone Schooling In AUSTRIA by marcondo13: 12:56pm On Dec 11, 2016 |
dynekest: Trust me when I say that insufficient funds or irregular account funding is the easiest way to get your application rejected! I got the 60%:30% rule direct from a contact at the Austrian Foreign Ministry and it was confirmed by Herr Helmut Brandstatter( the nice pudgy elderly bespectackled man) at the Consulate! Do not play the ostrich game because it is your life that is at stake, not his! So explain to him the consequence of depositing 60% of the total balance in his account within 30 days of your application, which is a REFUSAL! I was lucky in my case because of prayers and solid immigration legal specialists at my disposal because I was even advised to seek another country,if my appeal fails! |

free74fire: If you need help, why not state your department, school, and city ? It will get people's attention easier and even make other people in need of info about your school or department, to contact you! |

justwise: you can say that its not completely free, consider the money you pay to them , is it worth the quality of education they offer you, take for instance the University of Vienna. its ranking and worth. is 600-750 euros per semester . up to any university tuition fee in europe? |

kwenu:What if you have an uncle there? Is there anyway he can help with processing it if you have your transcript, WAEC and bsc certificate? Reply pls |
Re: Anyone Schooling In AUSTRIA by kwenu: 8:59pm On Dec 14, 2016 |
sweetilicious: yes they can help you but you need to be very involve because there are limits they can go. you both can work together, also provided that u bear thesame surname with them (there are advantages to that) |
Re: Anyone Schooling In AUSTRIA by marcondo13: 2:26pm On Dec 15, 2016 |
sweetilicious:The only help that your "uncle" can give you is to send an EVE to cover the need for a bank statement, and a house contract to cover the need for a letter proving a secured/reserved place of accommodation! Apart from that, you are on your own because every document emanating from Nigeria must be validated by the Ministry of Education ( all educational documents), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Austrian Consulate,Abuja. Don't get it twisted because the rules is different compared to the UK and US authorities! |

robertito7: Montanuniversitat Leoben,Leoben, Steiermark. Just start praying to all that is holy, and check your email everyday and expect a call from 8:30 to 9:20 am ,maybe 30 days after application ( in the case of incomplete application or further clarification is needed by the authority in Austria) but you will surely get a final reply in less than 90 days! Which school and course in Austria did you apply for? |
