The hubs are the shoe and leather works business hubs in Aba, the auto parts business hubs in Nnewi and the trading business hub in onitsha, the education hubs in enugu and Owerri these business hubs are private sector led, with virtually no support for infrastructure by the federal government and are making entrepreneurs out of the people in those hubs

The high cost of doing business occasioned by the high cost of rentals in office locations and residential premises, this would perpetually keep most of the business men struggling with the issues of payment for rental accommodation. The businesses operated by igbos in lagos often have to pay a higher accommodation fee than similar business operating from the South-East and South-South. For the same product made in lagos and Abuja and the South East, the manufacturer is likely to make more money from the retail price in the east than any other place

The problem of executive high handedness and bureaucratic scorched earth policies doesn't favor a continuing investment in such hostile environment for Easterners in the long run, systematic and organised victimisation of traders of eastern origin by government officials of lagos state leading to incessant closure of very important feeder market like Ladipo and Alaba International Market favors a divestment from lagos to the East

3. The free and undisturbed reign of street urchins, omonile, touts often used by local authorities to extort money from business men in the different business areas. This was even a major issue during the last election where a prominent traditional ruler vowed to drown igbos in the lagoon something a little bit of a xenophobic rants should not be overlooked as an electioneering threat. This coupled with unending propaganda against the eastern businesses, the execution of state engineered policies by street urchins without any arrest for cases like arson and buglary etc.

5. Change in business logic and orientation, previously they engaged in importation business but because of the apathy of the Federal government to the economy where the president doesn't even consider it important to have an economic adviser, it is perhaps the biggest problem for the investors to continue to rely on the government for assistance on importation. Business men should be innovative and locally manufacture their goods with available raw materials .
The business logic doesn't favor importation but assembly of imported parts mixed with locally fabricated parts .

6. The unavailability of foreign exchange for government business so much that even the different embassies can not get enough revenue for their operations, this is a good reason to divest back to the East, promising businesses that divested back are reaping the benefits as government officials now have to come to the East to source for jet parts, military cars, military shoes etc without even relying on the imported items like they did not have an option.

7. The rise and rise of the East as an Education hub in the world, this rise was occasioned by competitive edge driven by the need for Easterners for a openings of opportunity due to the limited availability of such previously in the east, the east now produce the best in every national examinations fromfederal common entrance to WAEC, to NECO and produce some of the best candidates in the developed world. This makes the east the best region to go to school and the best region to make a post graduate course. And this is not about to stop as the East will witness more of investment in private primary, secondary and universities

My thoughts are that every region in the country has an environmental issue to resolve, the south east is currently battling erosion menace, the north east and north west is battling desertification and desert encroachment, while the Niger delta is being troubled by the menace of environmental pollution, the north central has flooding , overflowing of river banks and earth tremors, while the south west has perennial flooding occasioned by lack of drainage in lagos, poor living conditions occasioned by unpleasant and unplanned neighbourhood.

There are others like Increased Security of life & Property,low taxation, Increased Population, THINK HOME PHILOSOPHY AND Diaspora funds by Eastern People living abroad!. East is Nigeria’s home for indigenous industries and enterprise!!!.

Sooner or later the Eastern governments would fall back on taxes to run the government if the economy does not improve .this in the long run might not be advantageous except in states that have an MOU with their local industries on taxation.
The diaspora funds like you mentioned is a very big factor in the Eastern economy. I presently think the diaspora funds is what constitutes the largest source of funds in the east and it is more than the federal allocation coming to the east.

I have stated clearly reasons. Without doubt the igbos are the most mobile race in Africa and there are factors which guided their mobility within the last 20 years and as these factors vary we would see the igbo velocity vary with these.

I have no issues with igbos who convert to Islam where I have issues is the speed at which the legistlature will out law the religion of Islam and the lightning speed at which it will be executed if igbos get their biafra.

Something tells me that would be the fastest conversion of souls in the history of mankind.

I am planning to consolidate some of my research into how the east will turn their business incubation program which has been acclaimed as one of the Largest in the world to making the largest startup programs in the world which will turn the east in to the innovation cpaital of the world by 2027 which is exactly 60 years since the cicl war started.
