The rate of complaints during this period of recession about food commodity prices is just too much but I always ask my self why the complain,we are just too blessed In this country to complain. Virtually anything we plant germinate and does well in this country. I bought some kilo of this yam(dont even know what it was called) some months ago and planted at my backyard 10 by 20 space but to greatest surprise I started harvesting it on Friday,i have harvested 8 big paint rubber. Omo I have more than enough food in my house. This yam is just too delicious ti resist... Have pictures

you are not correct sir with the part you said after hours, it begins to loose it edibility by texture change. I haven't experienced such. I have more than 2paint rubber, which I'm eating.

This is not sweet yam (anem in Ibibio), rather Irish yam. Yes, it is grown in few communities in Akwa Ibom, but not in commercial quantities.

It can stay for many days after harvest without loosing the edibility.
