I'm not a fan on the new rappers but numbers don't always mean you are the best. Sometimes your lines might be too hood to be commercialised. Jay sold more albums than some old rappers but he wasn't actually the best even tho this is subjective.

So in my own opinion

Kendrick is the leader. Because Kendrick is still ready to conform(although not entirely), He will still say that thing that you want to hear and still take a jab at you. So anybody can really listen to Kendrick.

Its mostly hardcore hip hop heads (like me). That usually listen to Cole. Mainstream fans can't Just Fvcks with J Coles music.

So for that Kendrick Wins. For creating a style that appeal to both the mainstream and Hardcore rap fans.

I can go on and on about these two.
