please i need your recommendation on a good brand of rechargeable fan to use of inverter. The ones i have be buying fails under 6 months probably they are fake.

One love.
I use qasa rechargeable. Other than battery failure the fan has been working fine close to a year now. Uses between 4w at lowest speed to 26w at highest speed ( which is on per with electric motor fan) the medium speed at 15w is ideal for normal use.

I use an mppt fangpusun 30amp charger controller, the battery is 1 year old, use it when I am back from work and weekend.

Before I get 19amp from it but now it barely get to 13amp if lucky.

I clean the panel last Saturday
u have said little about your consumption load. Regards your panels connecting all in series is not ideal. Connecting different size panel is never a good thing. The whole total out put of the string is determined by the lowest panel. Might be better to connect the 2 80w panel in parallel and connect them in series to the 130. Your connection should be 80 + 80 = 160 + 130 + 130. Secondly might be best to upgrade your cabling to 10m between controller and battery the hot cables is not a good sign. More importantly you need to describe your load and daily usage. Do you for example use the battery till it's dead..

I use a TV for 5hrs, gotv , charge my phone, plug laptop for 5hrs and use fan. When I am home. On few occasions I use the inverter till it start making alarm noise, then I immediately switch it off 11.8v

Sometimes we need to watch how we talk, did you buy India Tata solar panels from solar depot Nigeria?

Has India now become China?

What you pay is what you get

The biggest solar company in the world is Chinese so you need to learn how things work and get the right informatio

People like you ask for quality and expect to buy them with your peanut

Solar Depot has a name and reputation, not had issues since buying from dem and I don't think if u have any issues with products they market, they cannot amicably resolve it with you.

NB: I have no personal interest in solar depot Nigeria, I am not related to OgunMoses and has never met him face to face.

Just a satisfied and realistic customer , also a Solar power system trader

Solardepot is actually one of the best renewable energy stores you can rely on Nigeria.
Personally, I have made a number of purchases for myself and my numerous clients.
They're d Sole importer of us batteries.
So those panels u saw with 5 busbars I have touched personally and felt d design. Very good product.

Size and type of TV matters. Differences between Tv type can vary e.g my 43Inch LED Tv uses about 35w while the 32 inch LCD uses about 84w. Gotv should be about 15w average phone charger about 10w laptop is generally 65w (when battery is being charged ) and about 18w when battery is full. Fan also need to be specified. Difference between rechargeable dc fans and electric motor fan, ceiling fans can be huge. My ceiling fan uses 35w at least setting 50w at medium settings and 75w at max settings .. rechargeable standing fan uses about 4w at lowest to 25w at highest. You need to list the exact product type of fan etc to help give an estimation of your load and make recommendations.

Your battery at 11.8v is less than 30% which is not good for a lead acid battery. Constant over discharge will lead to sending the battery to early recycling plant.

Reading from my charge controller is usually 12amps from 11am to 3pm {averaging 155-160watt) what baffles me is that it is suppose to be rated at 420watt in total from the panels, in June July when first install I use to get 19amp 230-240watt.

Thank you for the nice words.

The battery equalizer ensures that the batteries are within 0.2v of one another. It is the only battery equalizer that I have installed that really works. Before I installed it, the differences between my battery voltages is as much as 2.5v at times. During the absorb charging stage, the weakest battery will quickly rise to 15.6v while the strongest is still at 13.1v. All the other batteries will have various values in between the two extremes. This rapid increase in voltage of the weakest battery raise the array average disproportionally and prevent the other batteries from charging properly. This issue was effectively resolved by the battery equalizer and my batteries are now always within 0.2v of one another.

The desulphator is used to desulphate my SMF AGM batteries. The AGM batteries are 4years old and are beginning to to show signs of old age.

For the Mercury 220AH batteries, I set absorb=57.8V, float=54.4V and equalize=62V. The Mercury MC5048E Inverter cannot handle battery voltages above 58V, so I was forced to set the absorb voltage slightly below that limit.

I always disconnect the Mercury batteries from the Inverter before triggering equalization from the Charge Controller.

I am interested in the battery equalizer. Any possibility of helping with sourcing or pointing me to the source.

Many thanks.

Cheers

u have a good point regarding expansion under hot sun. am planning to donate it to engineering students at a nearby polytechnic for their study who knows it may inspire some minds.

I need some clarification please.

While browsing some inverters online the other time, I came across a type of hybrid solar Inverters with inbuilt MPPT charge controller. Looking at the specifications closely, I found out that these types of inverters are cheaper to install as a single unit instead of buying additional MPPT charge controller in a solar/inverter system.

My question is, why are these types of inverters not popular among inverter installers

They are popular in Australia and South Africa. Nigerians are set in their ways. They are HF inverters and we have convinced ourselves that they may be less durable than the low frequency units. Installed well they are relatively trouble free

Thanks... I just wondered when I considered the price of the hybrid inverter with inbuilt MPPT charge controller as against the prices of both ordinary inverter and a separate MPPT charge controller. The prices is nearly twice when buying them separately.
