My post was just an advise... It depends on individuals to make or not to make use ... If relevant!
I will advise again that; before submission.. we should sit as a VO and analyse/review out applications ourselves.. being very objective.... It could help! There are loads of applications that we on the thread (not VOs) won't even approve. Guys, let's take full advantage of this thread.... really helpful.

Hello All,

Praise the Lord with me my visa has been approved and I have been called to come and collect my passport.

I applied for a Post graduate certificate degree in George brown college. I already have a masters so was scared they were going to reject me cuz i was going for pgc. 2ndly I was changing field. my bsc is in chemical engineering, masters is project mgt yet the program i applied for is IT business analysis (lied abit that i have 1 years experience in it).
3rd challenge was my passport needed renewal which i found out when they told me submit my passport (luckily this ended up not being an issue. I just had to go to passport office sharp sharp it took like 5 days to get it.

I did my Medical and police report upfront and submitted with my application Online. The documents I submitted were what was asked for in the document checklist. The only extra thing I submitted was Statement of explanation (subtly highlighted why i changed my field).

Date of Online application: 17th Sept 2016
Date of Biometrics: 27th Sept 2016 (couldnt get time off work sooner)
Date of passport request: 28th Nov2016
Date of passport submission: 2nd Dec 2016
Passport ready for collection: 13th Dec 2016

Thank you all who helped me through this journey and answered my queries and concerns. May God do your own too.

Yeah I think you have enough to demonstrate to a VO that your pursuit of an IT course is in line with your previous study & experience. BUT you still need to make sure that your SOP clearly and unambiguously emphasizes these IT courses you have taken. You should make it clear that you spent nine months studying these courses (and in the SOP, you should make it clear that the certificates are attached), emphasizing what you gained from them and how they helped further shape your desire to pursue study/work/career in this area.

Also, when you fill the CIC Study Permit application form (IMM1294E), you should include the study period for these IT courses under the "Education" section or under the "Employment/Activity" section (whichever makes more sense); I make this suggestion so that the VO doesn't think that you are jumping from mass comm to IT (in case the VO doesn't read your SOP closely). I am a big fan of intelligently building redundancy into your TRV application.

Do also make it crystal clear to the VO how the IT program in Canada would give you more knowledge than the courses you studied in India.

Your phrase "I believe communication is key to managing people in IT, Mass communication could come in handy then" is not convincing because mass communication has nothing to do with managing people (it is more related to things like broadcasting, news writing/editing, etc). So make sure the way you link mass communication to your future career/aspirations in a way that makes sense, otherwise you risk compromising your own application.
hustla:
Thanks bro
Spent almost 9 months in India pursuing the change of Career, did more than 13 Networking and Security training courses and got 1 professional certificate with more in mind (maybe 9 more)
That should be enough to convince the VO if adequately mentioned in the SOP, I think
Of which I am planning an MBA in IT later, and I believe communication is key to managing people in IT, Mass communication could come in handy then
Your thoughts?

Important about addressing insufficient fund.

Note: 6 months Statement of Account is required (not 12 months SOA).

cONGRATULATIONS...
As you may have called it change of field, i see not change of field,it is either your intended program is related to your undergraduate or employment or even both if possible, so you were smart to play by the rule by saying that you have 1year work experience in IT.

Good morning house. I so glad to know there is so much to learn from this thread that may have helped me better if i knew about it. You guys are doing a wonderful job with all the support willingly offered. My study permit application was recently turned down. PGC in Human Resources onestoga) Winter 2017. I want to call for my notes. I would have preferred applying for a masters directly (llm), but i had 2.2. However, does any body know of any canadian university that accepts 2nd class lower and possibly the admission process? I understand a research paper has to be submitted too.... plzzzz your advice will be most appreciated.
Bro pls when did you apply?. because i applied for TRV since Aug 31st and nothing yet. same college but a different course of study. pls reply asap.
