afoxy17: Easy fix, brake switch at the brake pedal is out of place. Place your back on your foot mat, and look up at the brake pedal you will see it. Most times superglue and soft bathroom silpers cures that madness forever 3 Likes |

Hello Gurus in the house, I need a permanent solution to small small issues I have with my Honda civic 09. Yesterday, the key broke, please where can I get a new key. How much does it cost pls. Also, the right ac vent is spoilt, can I get to buy that alone or must it be the whole thing? Where can I buy it and what will I tell them I want to buy? Thirdly, i realized the tapping Window is spoilt, I guess a rewire just worked the one I use to wind up now in the car I want to buy a new one. This is the result if buying online before seeing the car. Hubby purchased the car from Cityhood in May, and we had paid before he brought the car down. As a matter of fact, the whole interior is a far cry from what he posted online. But God dey sha Can I change d entire dashboard, how much will it cost, the entire thing, the interior of the car no make sense at all, main reason I hardly touch it |

Hello house, greetings to the movers of this thread luvinhubby and GAZZUZZ, una too much. pls I got a Nigerian used Honda Accord eod 2004 ex 4 cylinder engine. what are the first things I need to do? how do I know the oil in use and which should I be using. the car vibrates when the a.c is turned on, maybe because of a drop in the fire Guage (I don't know the right term for it) sometime the car when powered on fires itself up. like it doesn't regulate itself, random increase and drop in fire level. (still don't know the right term for it, but same as the one with a.c) the steering rack is bad and I need to change it. the gear misbehaves, when driven it might refuse to enter reverse, I'll have to turn off the engine and power it again for it to select reverse. the mechanic said it's the sensor. I changed it but it didn't solve the problem. the car is relatively low my mechanic suggested 'raising' it but from what I read here, I'll rather change shocks. please i need a heads up on what to do and what not to do with this car thanks. then luvinhubby pls I need the following parts. steering rack shock absorbers gear sensor (If I'll need another change) the recommended gearbox oil the recommended engine oil the recommended steering oil.. any other part or accessory you think is necessary. thanks. |

Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by luvinhubby(m): 11:16pm On Dec 13, 2016 |
CoolKizzy: Raising shocks is very bad idea, replace them. The throttle body of the car may need replacement, but start with claening your injection system and replacing the spark plugs. The gear cable may have issues leading to difficulty in selecting reverse, if not, na gear box wahala be that. Steering rack - 28,000 All shocks - 45,000 Gear sensor - Don't think you need that. 5W-20 HG oil - 2,500 per liter can ATF-DW1 - 3,500 per liter can HG steering fluid - 2,000 each Throttle body - 25,000 toks. |

Gazzuzz, luvinhubby Still on the Nigerian used Honda accord 98. I think the thermostat has been removed since the fan runs uncontrollably. Could this be a reason why my car takes lots of fuel? |

Malawian:Scanner can only give u areas to check ,u can't use scanner DTC codes for the definite diagnostics result ,u still need an expert tool to dig further down to have an 100% accuracy in any part you are changing so as to prevent buying what is not not faulty. This is more than what a Kazeem can handle If you are in lagos ,u can call autologic @08061166316 for professional resolution to auto issues. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by honmusa(m): 9:27am On Dec 14, 2016 |
tppzzy01:Your engine is already shorting oil ,this is an indication of wear and tear in the engine .Don't bother using 5w20 for your engine again,it is too light for your engine ,try 0w40 which is thicker and will still give u the same synthetic protection . |

Throttle position sensor or entire throttle body if sensor is unavailable. That's the Kazeem way to go about it. Proper Diagnostics should confirm that all these parts are bad before replacing. |
