iomoge, When I saw the post last night, me sef shock. Talmbout, you're insane, your head is not correct and all sorts cos the woman admitted to beating her 6 month old. I no wan wahala that was why I didn't reply last night. Plus I was tired and sleepy. Like they say, if you have nothing good to say, don say anything. Me sef get choice words for the mama wey dey beat her pikin, but there are ways to tell her what she's doing is bad than the way she said it. Helovesme is not feeding the poster, neither is she her younger sis or maid. Have some respect dude! Criticize her but don't belittle her. Frustration can lead even the best mom to do bad things. Let her know what she did was bad without sounding like you're her lord and personal savior. Gosh. And if we talk now, she'll say she lives in an advanced country kinikan kinikan. Me sef dey live for advanced country. Stop using Child Protective Services to scare people. Shebi you have to prove to CPS that someone is abusing her child, or you think you can just go there and tell them mama something is abusing her child and they will just go and arrest her? Oshisko. Abegi! Talmbout tracing IP and shit. Lmao. No be the same CPS?? they have enough wahala than to deploy FBI to search for one random woman on NL. And I don't condone beating children in any way. MummyGwen please for God's sake, stop beating that child. It's not right and you should never let your anger and frustrations to make you do such things. I'm begging you. If she will take breastmilk. Give her that and keep coaxing her to eat little by little. With time she will adjust. Me sef that has been living her since, I no dey gree try new food, I'll rather stick with my Nigerian cuisine not to talk of a 6month old baby that's still exploring. Pele 18 Likes 1 Share |

There is no thought that babies are indeed bundle of joy, but sometimes we mothers/fathers face so many challenges raising our kids even if you are not a FTM because babies differ. My first son is a picky eater and I have been battling with it, he is 5 and i still feed him while the younger brother can eat and suck for Africa. We are to use this medium to learn, discuss, share our thoughts and experiences, advise and find solutions to issues concerning them. We all need to be mindful of the way we respond to one another and not stressing out on the weakness of another but rather correcting in a friendly manner. No one is perfect. 11 Likes |

I use to say my children don't eat but when I saw my sister inlaw feeding her 7months old baby I respected her and told her ,me I can't do This, they eat for two hours. NOT EATING HAS GRADE, I sell baby food I HAVE SEEN, you will cry for the mother. In my case , I spank my children to eat, as I spank his buctucks he opens his mouth then I feed. We are in Nigeria, in this country we beat,it will not and can never kill the child. No greater love than the love of a Mother. No body loves my children more than me. My first child is 3years old if you don't flog her at least one strike she will not eat. WELL FOR MUMMYGWEN let your baby be hungry, when she wakes up don't breastfeed leave her till 9 or 10 am then feed it will be better, then use good MILK so that if she eats even if it's twice she will get enough nutrients. If you where in Ph I would have assisted you. Well done God is your strength. 13 Likes 1 Share |

iomoge2:While all these were going on I was appalled by the silence of others who were online at that time. I am a peeper on this thread this issue was my first time of commenting. I'm relieved now to see mamas speak up in defense of cyber bullying. I commend rofemigwa and some other mamas who spoke up at the beginning of this brouhaha. To those who sat on the fence"evil triumphs when good men do nothing about it" @helovesme I had to go thru Ur posts on nairaland, pls don't take all of this personal. Ur actually a nice person. Just work on the attitude. 3 Likes |

@Iomoge thumbs up for speaking out. Is good to call a spade a spade. I am a peeper had to come out of my hiding mode because I notice this is not the first time she has been doing this. This is a wonderful thread, I see the love that radiates here and I want the love to continue. Nobody should make others feel inadequate by their comments we are all here to learn. Remember no matter what you can never love any child more than the mother who carried her for 9 months. MummGwen, don't let anyone make you feel bad, you are a wonderful mother, you love and mean well for your baby that's why you come here to seek for help. Try adult food she might like it.God bless 6 Likes |

Hello MummyGwen. This is my first time on this thread and when I read your post about tour daughter it spoke to me. I have two kids. My 1st refused to latch so I ended up not breastfeeding him. However, he took formula and started eating solids at 4 months. My 2nd however, is a DIVA. I did exclusive breastfeeding with her but when it was time to introduce solids, she refused them and started losing weight. I was frustrated too but I remember that I remembered that for my 1st, I started out with Hipps organic baby food and he loved the rice pudding and the creamy porridge. I tried that with my 2nd and voila, she started taking that. Of course she still doesn't eat as much as her brother did when he was her age but its better than nothing. Now at 10 plus months she eats foods like plantain, sweet potatoes, yam and eggs etc. Pls dont get discouraged, just keep trying. Also remember that she is just 6 months plus which is ghe starting out on solids age. By the time she is 9 months she should be better at taking solids. Just take it easy. You can try to supplement whatever she eats with breastfeeding. My little diva didn't take formula until she clocked 9 months. Maybe its cos they are breastfed, who knows? All babies are different. You van try Cow and Gate rice pudding or creamy porridge if you cant find Hipps but remember that you need to keep trying even if she refuses it at first. Wish you all the best! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

This behaviour exhibited here, is why men can confidently say women are too emotional and cannot handle big decisions and power and that all women hate each other. This right here. So continue, a lot of us have daughters that some guy is going to play against each other and stroll away laughing. Rise above this! 1 Like |

I point out fact and accept it Acceptance of something does not mean u want it it simply means it exist In our reasoning.... once you accept something as it is you will e able to act For example I accept you mockery of me in relations to the mention of my books promo But that does not mean. I want it to be so... it means it is there because you put it there Because it is your nature to see things in black and white to assume thing as it apparently pop upsfrom your own secluded tastes We are all different mum We are all a manifestation in the form of things around us... I speak in a male perspective. .. because a man need to help a woman channel their fraustration elsewhere. .. not the Kids Work need. To be OK enough to channel a mother fraustration elsewhere Not the kids Etc LOL Sorry. For my bla bla U are really rude Haba Love u-\ So the reasons you've listed makes PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING an innocent BABY justifiable? Oga, it's best you focus on your book selling business and not make such posts as you come across as someone in support of child abuse. [/quote] 3 Likes |

I have great respect for every senior here, for every mother actually. However, I have this to say and I apologise in advance to anyone who might take offence. Onegai, in my opinion, you are exhibiting the same trait which most mothers on here have vehemently spoken against. That is - speaking in a judgemental and condescending manner, sounding too controlling and exhibiting a rather subtle God-Complex. The above is in reference to your comment about pregnancy thread and the conduct of women there...among others. It is true that I didn't participate actively thru out my 9-month duration, but I followed the thread religiously. The energy and excitement there is worth commending. Even now that I have dropped, I still go there to read from other moms. Your accusing and pointing fingers at them (even if true, which I sincerely doubt) is uncalled for. Show wisdom by keeping the pregnancy thread and the women who post there out of the brouhaha that has happened here. Thank you. 21 Likes 1 Share |

MizMyColi: I was part of them, I voluntarily left there because of this sort of behaviour. I know some of their monikers and I saw some here so that is why I made that comment. Months have passed and this has not happened here. But a lot of monikers fighting helovesme now once fought her on Pregnancy thread (I remember that). They are nursing old greviances here. If everyone can maintain their lane, life would be great. If I sound Godlike, that is awesome. However, some months back, most of the mamas here insisted I was Class Captain (even though I nominated other people) and should maintain the peace here. So if you would like to enjoy the subtle God-complex of running an unpaid group, freely, out of your personal time, please submit your name. I'm sure the attention would do you good. I am not in support of anyone, but we should keep our greviances and channel to the right sources. Again, nothings stops anyone from PMing her to scream at how she addresses people. Just don't make somewhere hostile and uncomfortable because you don't like one person. There are parents here who will avoid this place now because they are apprehensive of what is going on right now. The initial parties involved were chastised, that should have ended it, but instead it got so bad, comments got blocked. 4 Likes 1 Share |
