I am that kid sitting at the back of the classroom watching the drones come for the 'queens english speaking' Queen bees.

There is something about a sweet juicy fight. It bring the ants out of the woodwork. Hmm!

So many comments and viewers here to enjoy a fight, Loisemm and that is very, very sad. This is not us, this is not how we do things around here. And when you are ready to come here, I know you'll be a welcome addition (I read the thread you frequent a lot and I can't wait to see most of you here smiley)

Pretimum, you won't find edible crayons here o, the best you can find is non-toxic and I won't trust any Chinese brand that says "Non-toxic". Or you can mix edible paint and try use it with a brush. HTH.

onegai. there is a whatsapp group that is an offshoot of the pregnancy thread
they are all here. they are fond of picking on several members that contribute
a lot on this thread.
helovesme is one of their key favourites. she has been attacked on
that whatsapp group that i wonder why people can have so much hate against
someone that does not even know they exist.
in their usual fashion, her case was brought up yesterday on whatsapp and they all mobilised
to come here and attack her. that is why you see all sorts of unfamiliar usernames
and also new usernames that are not bold enough and decided to register new ones.
you members of that whatsapp group especially your leader, starbuck need to
really breathe in and out.

sometimes i think it is all envy against the likes of helovesme and co.

i took out time to read the last 2-3pages of this thread. to be honest, i do not see
anything bad in what helovesme typed. it is wrong to smack a child and it was
clear that the mother in question showed little or no remorse and instead was expecting
praise for trying hard with her child. it was only helovesme that took out time to reply
every single post she made and even picked on specific issues such as checking the child's
weight, the issue of the creche and so on.

personally, i will term anyone that smacks a 6months old baby to the point of tears a witch.
also calling that person a potential murderer is not wrrong.
there is no justification for it. i lost a niece when she was 9months old over something similar.
she was a known fussy eater. the mother claimed she was feeding the baby and all of a sudden
the child started convulsing. by the time the girl was rushed to the hospital, she had died. she was
declared dead on arrival. meanwhile when the child was around 5months old
my sister in law was caught by my mother pinching her daughter over over this feeding matter.
she was warned not to do so but its clear she carried on. it is not rocket science to
figure out what happened to that child. she must have forced the child to eat and the food ended
up the wrong way. she is treated as an outcast in the family and it took the grace of God for her
marriage to my brother not to end.

helovesme, i think its best you move on to a new username. people look at your first topic
and all they see is a woman with a rich husband living the champagne life. this is why they
pick on you all the time as they think you are looking down on others and you do not
understand whatever suffering people are going through. you are not the only person that
used harsh words on this feeding issue. how come it is you that is being picked on?
your opinon on MMM did not help you either as they think you are mocking those who have
their cash strapped in MMM. people's eyes are boiling and they are looking for who to
vent on. unfortunately, that person was you. if i was in your shoes, i will stay away
from controversial topics because you do pass on your views very strongly and you
are sometimes misunderstood.

it is impossible for we all to see issues the same way or address issues the same way.
some people say things as they are without mincing words.some will rather keep quiet.
others would rather apply more diplomacy.

peace.

peace.

I have same opinion as you. The comments here are quite PATHETIC. It just shows real violence and societal decay in this country. lipsrsealed

@ helovesme & AlphaHandMaiden, you ladies are my favourite posters on this thread. Your posts are always enlightening. Please keep it up.

Though I am done with child bearing but I learn a lot from your posts. I actually showed a colleague helovesme post on force feeding yesterday and she was shocked it could lead to the death of a baby cos she does same to her infant. Didn't even know that. She has vowed to stop.

You see, that tough love you displayed just saved a life.

Please ignore all negative comments and know that it's better a baby's life is saved even if it brings out the wrath and frustrations of a thousand women. grin

Know this a lot of people follow this thread offline and learn a lot. Peace y'all

envynot that is really scary and I'm glad you mentioned it. It always helps to have a personal story sometimes to help make it clear that why we shouldn't do some things. I remember when a mum shared here that she lost her son to Botulism via giving him Honey. It made it very clear to everyone.

Shrekandfiona, one cannot tell people how to do things, one can only advise and hope they listen. People will give honey to their babies, infact someone came and said her friend gives Maggi to her 3 month old. There was a thread about burying a child that doesn't walk on time in sand halfway to the chest and a lot of people were in agreement that it was efficient. All I say is "as long as you're happy doing that to your own child, I won't stop you. I also won't grieve with you".

And that stuff u wrote abt pregnancy thread?
Not nice at all. Every mama here was once pregnant.

Lol. You should look at my old posting history or ask Modath about when I was preggers, if she remembers any fight she had to settle. I don't carry anything on my head. If it is in the past, it is in the past. What I said, I'm not the only one who feels that way. I don't like fights for no reason and there is a better way to handle things. This could have been handled much, much easier.

You know what, I remember the post and the moniker @ completely.

That post saved my 2nd child's life. Hadn't heard of botulism till that moniker spoke about it. I was giving my child honey for her cough as advised by a doctor friend o. She was 3 years old then. She had to be admitted twice after running all the test, they found nothing wrong with her but she was still vomiting, stooping and loosing weight until I read about side effects of honey. Had to stop and since then, never ill. She is almost 6 yrs today smiley

That is why I said this thread educates and most of us actually read offline due to work et all. Good job onegai

I think honey is dangerous when the child is less than 1year old. So your Dr friend might be correct if the prescription is for 3yrs old child. I heard a friend telling me she gives her daughter honey when she was six months, I have to tell her to stop it and go do research on botulism. She came to thank me later.
