You bought Nataraj. I bought it too. I really don't know, all I do know for sure is that cheap Chinese products for the African market are such a gamble. Our people will not even bother to protect us and say they should use quality, why should they? Use the Nataraj because Crayola is hard to find. Crayola is not edible, it's just no,-toxic.

Yes,its Nataraj...thanks I will

. You should consider making Christmas cards as an activity using glitter, colourful cardboard, etc.

I will post a picture later of one my son 'made'.

Glitter, scissors and Baby E must never be uttered in the same sentence in front of anyone who likes Sanity and wishes not to spend Christmas in a hospital crying "I only turned away for 20 seconds". No sir, not for us.

Pretimum, Nataraj is in every Bookshop nowadays. A few years ago, they came into Nigeria and really cornered the market on cheap art stuff. Their crayons have good colour payout but don't bother with their poster colours. HTH.

Honestly I don't know why Nigeria can't make these stuff. Jobs going to foreigners, why are we importing crayon?? All you need is a base, safe pigments pigments and moulds, packaging and someone with a good Science and Health & safety background...

envynot:
onegai. there is a whatsapp group that is an offshoot of the pregnancy thread
they are all here. they are fond of picking on several members that contribute
a lot on this thread.
helovesme is one of their key favourites. she has been attacked on
that whatsapp group that i wonder why people can have so much hate against
someone that does not even know they exist.
in their usual fashion, her case was brought up yesterday on whatsapp and they all mobilised
to come here and attack her. that is why you see all sorts of unfamiliar usernames
and also new usernames that are not bold enough and decided to register new ones.
you members of that whatsapp group especially your leader, starbuck need to
really breathe in and out.

sometimes i think it is all envy against the likes of helovesme and co.

i took out time to read the last 2-3pages of this thread. to be honest, i do not see
anything bad in what helovesme typed. it is wrong to smack a child and it was
clear that the mother in question showed little or no remorse and instead was expecting
praise for trying hard with her child. it was only helovesme that took out time to reply
every single post she made and even picked on specific issues such as checking the child's
weight, the issue of the creche and so on.

personally, i will term anyone that smacks a 6months old baby to the point of tears a witch.
also calling that person a potential murderer is not wrrong.
there is no justification for it. i lost a niece when she was 9months old over something similar.
she was a known fussy eater. the mother claimed she was feeding the baby and all of a sudden
the child started convulsing. by the time the girl was rushed to the hospital, she had died. she was
declared dead on arrival. meanwhile when the child was around 5months old
my sister in law was caught by my mother pinching her daughter over over this feeding matter.
she was warned not to do so but its clear she carried on. it is not rocket science to
figure out what happened to that child. she must have forced the child to eat and the food ended
up the wrong way. she is treated as an outcast in the family and it took the grace of God for her
marriage to my brother not to end.

helovesme, i think its best you move on to a new username. people look at your first topic
and all they see is a woman with a rich husband living the champagne life. this is why they
pick on you all the time as they think you are looking down on others and you do not
understand whatever suffering people are going through. you are not the only person that
used harsh words on this feeding issue. how come it is you that is being picked on?
your opinon on MMM did not help you either as they think you are mocking those who have
their cash strapped in MMM. people's eyes are boiling and they are looking for who to
vent on. unfortunately, that person was you. if i was in your shoes, i will stay away
from controversial topics because you do pass on your views very strongly and you
are sometimes misunderstood.

it is impossible for we all to see issues the same way or address issues the same way.
some people say things as they are without mincing words.some will rather keep quiet.
others would rather apply more diplomacy.

peace.

I use to say my children don't eat but when I saw my sister inlaw feeding her 7months old baby I respected her and told her ,me I can't do This, they eat for two hours. NOT EATING HAS GRADE, I sell baby food I HAVE SEEN, you will cry for the mother.
In my case , I spank my children to eat, as I spank his buctucks he opens his mouth then I feed. We are in Nigeria, in this country we beat,it will not and can never kill the child. No greater love than the love of a Mother. No body loves my children more than me.
My first child is 3years old if you don't flog her at least one strike she will not eat.
WELL FOR MUMMYGWEN let your baby be hungry, when she wakes up don't breastfeed leave her till 9 or 10 am then feed it will be better, then use good MILK so that if she eats even if it's twice she will get enough nutrients. If you where in Ph I would have assisted you. Well done God is your strength.

Cow milk before 12 months isn't recommended because it is not as nutritious as formula and they say it doesn't digest as well for them. But every child is different. Some kids don't want milk from 7 months and cow milk is sweeter than formula. So, what you can do is to buy a can of another brand of formular, see if she drinks it. If she rejects it, take her to her Dr; ask the Dr to take a look at her and both of you sit down together and come to a decision (maybe you give cow milk and make sure she's eating solids rich in calciums and vegetables and legumes to make up for what she may be missing, probably add a multivitamin). Because every child is different and what works for most kids may not work for yours.

Thanks dear, I have been to all those places, in fact welcome u is very close to my house and that's where I shop. The truth is that I am a little skeptical about wheat and oat as my Ds is not on the fat side so I kind of want something that will make him gain weight and I don't think oat and wheat can serve that purpose, though he takes oatmeal well.
I tried Gerber multigrain and it's making his poo black and strong. That is why I think I should stick to rice.

MamaOO:
iomoge,

When I saw the post last night, me sef shock. Talmbout, you're insane, your head is not correct and all sorts cos the woman admitted to beating her 6 month old. I no wan wahala that was why I didn't reply last night. Plus I was tired and sleepy.

Like they say, if you have nothing good to say, don say anything. Me sef get choice words for the mama wey dey beat her pikin, but there are ways to tell her what she's doing is bad than the way she said it. Helovesme is not feeding the poster, neither is she her younger sis or maid. Have some respect dude! Criticize her but don't belittle her. Frustration can lead even the best mom to do bad things. Let her know what she did was bad without sounding like you're her lord and personal savior. Gosh.

And if we talk now, she'll say she lives in an advanced country kinikan kinikan. Me sef dey live for advanced country. Stop using Child Protective Services to scare people. Shebi you have to prove to CPS that someone is abusing her child, or you think you can just go there and tell them mama something is abusing her child and they will just go and arrest her? Oshisko. Abegi! Talmbout tracing IP and shit. Lmao. No be the same CPS?? grin they have enough wahala than to deploy FBI to search for one random woman on NL.

And I don't condone beating children in any way. MummyGwen please for God's sake, stop beating that child. It's not right and you should never let your anger and frustrations to make you do such things. I'm begging you. If she will take breastmilk. Give her that and keep coaxing her to eat little by little. With time she will adjust. Me sef that has been living her since, I no dey gree try new food, I'll rather stick with my Nigerian cuisine not to talk of a 6month old baby that's still exploring. Pele

Good morning sabi mums, hope our day is going pretty well.
For those of us that has been affected by mmm, pls let's keep our hope alive knowing that come January everything will be sorted out and our monies recovered.
I also want to appreciate the mamas in this thread that has exhibited a great high level of maturity in handling crisis and critism. May God bless you all.
For those mamas, that had to swallow their pride and ego for peace to rain, kudos to you all.
This one thread that I can't stop thanking God for directing me to, because what I have learnt here can never be quantified and the love that I see here radiating among women that did not know one another, divine!.
I want to say a very big congratulations to all the mothers and fathers here, you guys are the best.

Now, to my question, my Ds of 5months has refused to take formula for the past one week plus now. Though I add formula in his cereal.
Is it OK, to just leave him to what he gets from cereal? If not what do you suggest I do.
