I stumbled upon this and I know someone might find it useful. So here goes what you should know about the First Bank GT recruitment process: 1) The recruitment examination would probably be conducted by Dragnet. 2) The number of applicants would be so monumental as usual that it will become hard for them to select candidates other than raise the cut off. 3) The selection process may take around 4 weeks to 2 months. 4) During the selection, HR may screen for grade and where necessary experience. 5) Interviews at First bank are usually tough so you have to know what stuff you are made of 6) The first interview is with the HR personnel. There is a second interview where you meet with managers from the dept you will work with. A panel interview precisely. 7) After been successful at this two stages then you do medicals. Likely interview questions: a) Tell us about yourself, walk us through your resume b) Kindly describe an experience where you work in a team and what impact you made. c) Why did you chose banking? .i.e if your course is not banking related. d) Most importantly, First bank asks a scenario based question. E.g, "How will you handle a situation if a colleague rough handles you or maybe slap you?". 7 Likes 1 Share |

Sorry bro. I guess I was lucky cos I had lotta 'easy' questions. *that's a strategy I forgot to add. pray for Goodluck - the 2010 GEJ type* So I was lucky to get a compound interest question: rate of 10% for 5 years. Estimated my answer, Selected something and moved on. I know you are smart and you know strategies. Not denying that. But dont say people CANT solve 50% of the quant cos you weren't able to. Like I said earlier. It is not about solving. It is about choosing the correct option. BTW how can you say the analytical/logical reasoning example I cited is in 'GMAT'? what kinda GMAT is that? PS.: the sample questions used in my earlier post doesn't necessarily mean those were the questions I got. See you at the top bro. famosh: |

Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by famosh: 5:31pm On Dec 15, 2016 |
VMpi744:I know what you mean bro, but when I say solve, I actually mean solving to a reasonable point where you can estimate the answer & not solving totally (nobody does that). I also didn't mean the analytical questions you cited were in GMAT, I actually meant that anyone who studies GMAT a bit should have little problem with the questions. But you did well by saving people who do not have much time the stress of studying it by explaining the stuff. Well you're right if you say I shouldn't generalize even when many applicants I know said the same thing; I forgot that we have some geniuses applying too, which includes you, I guess. See you at the top too, bro. Although, I hope I make it for my preferred career path as this commercial world no be my first choice at all. 1 Like |

Hi Guys, I've been following this thread for a long while, and I find it rather baffling that you guys resort to bragging about your brilliance and intelligence in writing aptitude tests, in the guise of sharing relevant information to other applicants. From experience(After going through the recruitment stages for coys like KPMG, MTN, P&G, FMNPLC, Standard Chartered Bank,Sterling Bank, First Bank, Coronation Merchant Bank;all in the past 1 year), even though most coys have cutt-off marks, they still take the highest scorers irrespective of the number of individuals who pass the cutt off mark. So its not by your expertise in passing aptitude tests, but the score distribution amongst the total applicants. Instead of this show-off which as a matter of concern, would trouble applicants on this thread who are already losing hope on success mails, or feeling intimidated, I rather, you, pray that you fall among the candidates selected for the next stage or share information concerning the next stage. FYI; Not all applicants nationwide are Nairalanders!!! In case you are getting so confident on getting a success mail as a result of negative feedbacks about the test on NL! This is STAGE 1, there are @ least 3 More, before you can then, start dishing out advice to prospective applicants on how to land the job as you have done. So please lower your horns and do the needful. (As the saying goes, "the higher you go, The greater the fall". I wouldnt want you to go mute when success mails start rolling in to successful VMpi744:applicants (as is the case when NL's brag and are not invited for the next stage)...So please let the thread be used to share information and help people land their dream jobs. I only talk when it's necessary...I just want to make common sense!!! I hope my little excerpt helps!!! Wish Y'all the best!!! 15 Likes 1 Share |

famosh: Nigerians like long talk. Answer yes or no If it is not luck " God's will ". If you fail a test it doesn't mean you are dull it only shows you dint study well or need to study more. If you don't pass dragnet it doesnt mean you are dull that is why I asked if you passed through Uni by luck.. |

Tee2014:Bros, chill. I don't think anyone here is trying to brag about smartness or insinuating he's gonna score so high; you're misunderstanding things. A guy here posted useful strategy on how to increase one's chances of success in the aptitude test for people who haven't written yet. It doesn't mean he's bragging. Some people who haven't written the exam yet really appreciated his effort. He's way better & more unselfish than many here who choose to keep quiet about these things when some people who haven't written might need it. 1 Like 1 Share |

Q2:153 O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. Q33:3 And put your trust in Allah, and Sufficient is Allah as a Wakil (Trustee, or Disposer of affairs). I don't know why but I just felt compelled to share them. These verses resonate in my head almost everyday. In the end, we would all look back to this period and have a reason to give thanks (ISA). mayoor15: 2 Likes |

When a test provider says "calculators are not allowed for this test", they wont set things that require it. Its that simple. magoosh. com/gmat/2016/can-you-use-a-calculator-on-the-gmat/ Veritasprep. com/blog/2015/06/gmat-tip-of-the-week-no-calculator-no-problem/ TheBatman: |
