A large population of Nigerians are actually naturally chocolate to light skinned. Only people living in poverty who can't afford to stay away from so much sun or afford to maintain themselves may not be able to retain their original skin tones.
Irrespective of our skin tones, dark, chocolate or light, we are still negroids, being light skinned never makes u a caucasian, we are much prouder Africans than u guys who always wear western clothes even to cultural and social gatherings, our cultures also represent us irrespective of our skin colour.
