I do not think ebuka has ever dissed catholics and neither have i. We may disagree based on practices but the core beliefs remain the same. Jesus is our foundation isnt it?

I've deprecated Catholicism in the past for the Inquisition , Idolatry and the unbiblical attachment to Mary .

But I dont do such now

Anti clerical ideas from France eroded the influence of the church. Never said it was an atheist country at all. The church only had its influence reduced it was never an atheist country don't even try to spew that nonsense.
lol

don't mind them

the natives resisted Christianity not religion as a whole because the native Indians that were against Christianity weren't atheists

its like saying Nigeria was an atheist country because missionaries faced resistance from our people

pure failed case of mental gymnastics

Zambia does not have famine because much of the rural dwellers are farmers so in that regard they are good. There is food but Politics is their problem! Their poverty is deliberately being sustained so as to serve the rich. Its too complex to list out but its almost similar to Nigeria. Their problem is more of corruption related than Religion or Christianity..its mans disregard for man based on greed but the rural dwellers who are supposed to be poor are actually not poor because they are driving the economy mainly through farming and based on that the nation is doing well per their GDP which is why they are even 49 on the list. Zambia is beautiful.
Wait.... So these causes u have listed absolve god of the responsibility to provide for them??
BTW ... Having a population of farmers doesn't make a country immune to famine... The drought of 2001-02 is a major reason why there is a serious food deficit..
And as I said earlier, these causes do not absolve god of responsibility... The fact still remains Zambians are starving to death while their god promised them provision

Deepsight allow me to entertain you while you are in the can. Remember this Post? You really took the gloves off that time. It was bare knuckle assault.

In short, no reasonable or proper scientist can possibly believe in God. If they do, as a consequence of their scientific inquiries, then they are not proper scientists.

S/eun, please just go to school already. You are an embarrassment to thinking entrepreneurs.

Oga famine is not in zambia so leave that. God has given responsibility to man to take charge of his affairs but he can intervene when we call upon him. In Zambia Party or Political affiliation is a huge problem.

People are responsible for their choices so would you blame God when instead of voting in godly men they do based on tribal lines or selfish interests?

If you have been to Zambia even once i would not need to say all i am saying to you. Its like what happens in Nigeria during elections where peanuts is disbursed to buy votes and those who are deliberately being kept poor are bought over with peanuts

Keep trying to find excuses for your for god... This is an excerpt from a news article...
"Prolonged dry spells in five of the nine provinces of Zambia sharply reduced yields and cereal production."
U see that? Prolonged dry spells. It's not even peculiar to Zambia. Other south African countries are in danger of this because of climate change...
And the hungry people are not the cause of government's incompetence they are the victims... If god wouldn't protect his people from these things, then why believe in him
And what about the people who actually vote for godly people but the people they voted don't win.... And how do u know godly people... Seems we don't have godly people in Nigeria then

You seem to always want to argue. I have beeen to Zambia oga. In fact i have been to more than 9 african countries as a geographer which i am and you still wish to argue while i tell you from live on the ground report.

You need to pay a visit to New Soweto market in Zambia and marvel at how food is being wasted because it is in excess. It is even listed on Tripadvisors.com which was where i saw it and decided to visit when there.

Zambia is a self imposed poverty. If you wish to keep arguing continue doing so using articles while i am telling you as an eye witness. A not so populated nation yet they have about 20 political parties..you need to imagine the level of "rob the poor to feed the rich" that is going on there but of course you only follow articles.

Yes!...
Non-religious people are more opposed to violence than religious people...
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jan/06/peace-on-earth-atheism

According to the Global Peace Index of 2014,

''...according to their most recent
rankings, among the top ten most
peaceful nations on earth, all are among
the least God-believing – in fact, eight of
the ten are specifically among the least
theistic nations on earth. Conversely, of the bottom ten – the least peaceful
nations – most of them are extremely
religious.''

My beliefs still remains, I still remain a Deist and a Humanist. The way I see religion still stand: as a means to swindle gullible and undiscerning people.
humanism is cool...
Really!

Abeg, make we hear word... Did u visit every single part of Zambia... Or u expect me to take your word that there is no shortage of food in Zambia? ... People are starving to death in Zambia and neither your visit there or the wickedness of their leaders absolve their god of his responsibility to provide for them... Ergo, maybe the god doesn't exist in the first place

When you are in a communist country , you are expected to pledge allegiance to the Marxist-Leninist ideology as your nation's guiding principle - that means atheism is imposed . Belief in God is not tolerated especially in religion .

So President Jose who may have been born with that atheist idea since Uruguay has been with communism for a long time before it ended just before he became president .

I don't think he became an atheist from a personal choice , its more of his environment , his milieu that influenced him . The "God idea" in religion is not tolerated in communism . And there are communist parties that make being an atheist a prerequisite for becoming a member .

He may believe in God privately but appears to be an atheist or declares to be one because of the country or politics in the country or rejection of religion in which the belief in God has been mistaken to be an integral part .

That's why I said it is arguable

lol, don't tell me you're moved by that bullsheet explanation

we all know Jose's atheism wouldn't be "arguable" to kingebuka if he had "Killed Millions!"

Jose is just too good to fit Kingebuka's atheist president stereotype

and then doesn't the explanation kingebuka gave refutes his logic of "atheists Presidents and communist leaders"?

could it also be that those " atheist and communist leaders" are actually theists behind closed doors while professing atheism?

can you see how he makes a logic today and defeats same logic tomorrow?

he uses a logic when convenient and quickly dumps it when convenient, then picks it up when its convenient again

he talks with many mouths that I don't know which one to slap first

This is one of the critic of religion, no matter how huge your sins are, you can always "wash" it all away by talking to your imaginary friend
and yet they still have the effuntry of saying people become ''atheists''(irreligious) because they want to ''sin''

Let us imagine what the society would be like if we wait for an agreed-on god to punish wrongdoers?
they keep saying morality is not subjective..but want ''the law'' to exist...
If Gods are going to judge us for our crimes after death then the law should not exist..
Simple...

mental illness exacerbate religion?
Is there a difference? One could make a case for religion-as-a-mental-illness. And thats not meant as an insult to the religious
of course!

Atheism is here to stay, internet and education is what would eventually kill every god idea
virtually every religious idea..

Take new zealand as a case study..
As they got more exposed to the internet for a number of years...religious beliefs fells significantly

The simple fact that we abolished slavery despite almost every god especially Yahweh not abolishing it shows our morals come as a way of survival of the human race

If I'm the only person in the world, I won't need any moral code, any law to live by, I can sheet anywhere, piss anywhere but once you form a society laws and codes need to be made
i dont know whats hard to understand in this simple one/two lined sentence

If only I could dash you some wisdom I would do ASAP but you obviously can't be helped as you think you are the sole custodian of knowledge.

God speaks to us from within but you can't understand this because you refer to Him as imaginary. I stand by my words regardless, I will do whatever He tells me to do even if it means doing what Abraham did to Isaac. If this is insanity to you then so be it, to me and other believers it is obedience but I 100% don't expect any of you atheist to understand, it is beyond your comprehension
