You are right I wouldn't accept 420/$ after we agreed on 445 but then you forgot to add that I won't come on here to exchange words or post Whatsapp conversations if I truly can get the culprit in trouble. For me, public opinion on personal matters that I have control over doesn't count because I'll have so messed up whoever the person is privately.

If you read what I posted properly, you'll see where I gave him options of what to do. If elot does not change his mind about 420 the opinion of everyone who has condemned payment @420/$ does not count if tooltip doesn't carry out is threat of reporting to authorities or getting elot into trouble. All will be e-ranting that produces no result.

As such, I don't believe in e-ranting or e-wars so I don't bring up issues on nairaland if I have means of settling amicably or in an hostile manner as long as my money is complete in my pocket or bank account.

Why we need paid escrow

It touches my heart that Ayohbk - a student of just 23yrs old was scammed of his whole life saving of $500 yesterday. I receive news of scams almost 4 times in a week and the rate is not slowing down.

The scammers are exploiting various new methods, so we should not continue doing the same thing as well and expect a different result.

I personally will continue to ESCROW for free. But we all know that we are humans, I escrowed for like 4 people yesterday and couple with my own hustle, so I was tired and could not assist Ayohbk.

All these limitations I think will be minimised if there is a kind of paid system like we have on localbitcoins and a couple of other site.

I want to implore members to come up with suggestions.
