Andyc007: Looking at your issue, I don't think it is not compulsory that the course must be named computer science. Their are computer related courses you can apply to in lieu of computer science which nearly have the same curriculum. Hoschule Ulm - computer science HAW university of applied sciences - Information Engineering Hoschule Rhine-wal - Information and communication engineering Leuphana universitat - Digital media If your grade is okay and you apply to all at once, you should be able to get at least 2 out of them. Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by honourableseyi: 7:36pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
noordyn: Though I don't know the actual reason why you want to close the account but ........ However, refusal letter is actually not part of the documents needed for the closure. You need a letter from the embassy authorising the closure; otherwise, it might be a long thing. Shalom 1 Like |

Those planning for winter 2017, choose your state wisely if you are a little bit loaded.. "German universities to reintroduce tuition fees for non-EU students From autumn next year, international students will pay €1,500 per semester as part of a bid to reduce Germany’s €48m higher education deficit Rachael Pells Education Correspondent Saturday 3 December 2016 Heidelberg University, Germany’s oldest institution, will charge non-EU students €1500 per semester from next year Students from outside the European Union will soon have to pay to attend universities in south-west Germany, where until now, courses have been free. Tuition fees were scrapped in Baden-Württemberg state in 2011, and universities became free from cost in all German states by 2014. But despite promising not to introduce general fees earlier this year, the Baden-Württemberg state government has announced the reintroduction of tuition fees to international students from autumn 2017................" Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by justwise(m): 8:18pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
honourableseyi: Still nothing compared to what foreign students pay in many other countries. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by honourableseyi: 8:24pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
ellacute45: No, he will not. Check the bold words below From the start of the 2017/18 academic year, non-EU students will be required to pay €1,500 (~US$1,600) per semester – totalling €3,000 (~US$3,200) per year. Students gaining a second degree will pay a reduced fee of €650 (~US$700) per semester. Although education at German universities in Baden-Württemberg will no longer be free, it’s worth noting that these tuition fees are still significantly lower than in many other parts of the world. "Some international students will be exempt from the reintroduction of tuition fees. Exemptions apply to: Refugees with a right to stay in Germany. International students who earned their higher education entrance qualification ‘Bildungsinländer’ in Germany. International students from Erasmus member states, including non-EU countries such as Iceland and Turkey. Students from non-member countries with permanent resident status in Europe. Existing non-EU students already undertaking degrees at the affected universities". http://www.topuniversities.com/student-info/university-news/tuition-fees-reintroduced-some-german-universities |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by honourableseyi: 8:26pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
justwise: Yes you are right, far away from it. But if there is an opportunity to take the same course in another state in Germany with free tuition and atleast nice city; it will still be better any time any day since it is not presently a general issue. As a matter of fact, not all courses in public German schools are tuition free even till now; though they are not many. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by honourableseyi: 8:31pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
Andyc007: since you are changing from medical to ICT, I will just advise you to use your 100L transcripts once it has subjects like physics, chemistry, ICT and the likes. The grade I am talking about is your final CGPA for 100L or the 4th year depending on the one you want to use. Shalom |

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by justwise(m): 9:56pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
honourableseyi: Gradually it will be introduced in those cities too. When foreign students start moving to those cities in numbers fees will be used as a means to checkmate the mass-movement. |
