PissedYagami: Anybody can sit down anywhere to write anything. Show us the slums in Lagos and Abuja. Makoko was the only well known slum in Lagos b4 it was demolished, all others are so extremely small or are not just qualified to be called slums according to world standards or definition of slums. Over 140 million (80%) Nigerians own a cell phone which they charge and recharge regulary. Over 100 million (60%) Nigerians subscribe monthly to data subscription plans. These statistics are released by our telecom companies, so it can't be false. How can people so poor affort these? Use your head! |

I have been viewing this thread from the beginning and the only aspect which i can clearly agree that Kenyans beat Nigeria is tourism & Airline transportation. In aspects like Sports, Military and Power supply i'd say it's a tie. (Kenyans will argue about power supply but they should not forget that even they have more stable power supply, Nigeria's power supply meets 99% of it's citizens while in Kenya only 60% of it's citizens have access to power supply). Nigeria is just far ahead of Kenya in :- 1) Economic size and GDP per capital (no need to explain) 2) Technology and ICT 3) Entertainment industry (East africa combined cannot match Nigeria here) 4) Presence of Slums (it will take Kenya another 50 years to have a clean and sane city the size of Abuja with no single slum, even Capetown has slums). 5) Urbanization (Nigeria is 10 times more urbanized than Kenya). 6) Individual achievements and success (no single billionaire in Kenya, even with all the Indians & whites running the economy) 7) Industrialization. Banking sector (no comparison). 9) Educational sector (Nigeria is better here because we have over a dozen universities than can be ranked well here in Africa unlike Kenya with only 2 or 3 standard universities and Nigerian schools are damn cheap with school fees as low as $100 per session making it accesible to even the poorest people) 10) A more refined and beautiful African culture (The only culture Kenya seems to have is that of the savage masais. Imagine Kenyans wearing western clothes to both traditional and social gatherings, so sad). 11) Private sector (Almost every good thing in Kenya is fully or partly owned by the govt. A single person in Nigeria is building the world's biggest refinery, infact all the achievements of the top 100 richest Kenyans put together- both Indians, whites and blacks cannot equal this Nigerian individual giant, not to talk of others in Nigeria) 12) Rich history Infact when talking about rich history in Africa, Kenya is just nowhere to be found. Nigeria had many great empires and kingdoms in pre colonial africa, our people were trading across the world already, some of us were already reading and writing and when the colonial masters came they were shocked and they even looted our artefacts to their own country while all Kenyans were still running Unclad in forests at that time drinking animal blood. So many more points which i will continue to list. 3 Likes |

PissedYagami: Wrong theory. Nigerians even migrate to Mali, Cameroon, Ivory coast, Ghana, Somalia and everywhere, just like the Chinese migrate to Africa. Africans deport chinese too, what do u have to say? Read this link, Ghanaians (my west african brothers) deoprt Chinese illegal workers a lot. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/ghana-to-deport-some-200-chinese/ U see, we west Africans are not people of low self esteem like u guys who worship anybody with white skin, in your own eyes anybody with white skin and wavy hair is like a god who can never commit crimes and they are all welcomed in your country. That's why foreigners keep controlling your country while the blacks live in slums. 1 Like |

Nice local companies are not government owned, you can google the sector 1 banks in Kenya as an example, or the big 3 supermarkets, but government owning things like power isht, water isht makes it better for normal citizens, how is privatized power in your country taking you? 12) Rich history Infact when talking about rich history in Africa, Kenya is just nowhere to be found. ianSweet: Talking about self esteem? Thats pretty ironical coming from a self hating negro who is ashamed of fellow southerners in nigeria . And Kenyans dont think like you. You commit crime, you go to jail. We welcome everyone, south sudanese, chinese anybody, we are not some backward cultural whatever country. Kenya should aspire to be compared some of these sub-saharan countries but NOT NIGERIA. South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Mauritus - and maybe even Rwanda in some things. Nigeria will remain Africa's cesspit and armpit. It is a hopeless country which is comparable to war torn countries of niger, chad, central africa, somalia, south sudan and maybe afghanistan. A country where Boko-haram has taken huge junk of the country, country with non-existent pipe water, country that last year used about 1000mw and where constant 24-7 electricity sounds like unbelievable miracle to them, where sewage and modern sanitation is non-exist with more than 70% still defeacating in bushes, a country where people are scampering out of it for any country out there, a country where gov service is either non-existent or procured through corruption, a country of slum cities, a country that is one civil war away from another, a country that despite selling billions barrel of oil has absolutely nothing to show for it, a country that import essentially items like food(rice, wheat, milk, tomato paste ) worth several billions dollars. I mean if Nigeria is not war-ravaged; then it clearly is ravaged by something the world has yet to define. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

PissedYagami: I know that it is the masais who practice everyday blood drinking, but all of u confirmed to me that animal blood actually tastes nice. So what is wrong if i label u all blood drinkers? Kenyan tourism is overhyped, how much is the industry worth? About $1 billion dollars? With all the money your govt invested into it? You call our entertainment industry crap amd Nigerian musicians for instance have been featuring American artistes since 2010, we have also been winning all manners of the best entertainment awards in the world? Swahili clothes my foot. You have no developed and advanced culture. Borrow from the Ethiopians. Kenya can never ever develop such beautiful and exotic indigenous fabrics and fashion styles like Nigeria, even in 100 years to come.

ianSweet: Are you on fuckin crack or what So 170m of Nigerias population have electricity, or what the hell did i read? Naigerians are jokers!!! http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/75-nigerians-lack-access-to-regular-power/ 75% Nigerians lack access to regular power On November 10, 20152:06 By Sebastine Obasi Despite the huge investments made in the energy sector since the privatisation of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, about 75 percent of the Nigerian population still live without access to regular electricity supply. Power Power According to The Nigerian Association of Energy Economists, NAEE, despite statistics indicating that 45 percent of the country’s population is currently connected to the national grid, regular supply is still restricted to just about 25 percent of the population. This is coming as the International Finance Corporation, IFC, said that constant regular power supply will ensure overall prosperity and development for Nigeria. Most of the people with access to electricity are found within the urban areas of the country, thus leaving citizens in the rural areas with less access to electricity supply. NAEE therefore raised concern on economic redundancy in these parts of the country, adding that despite the importance of energy to economic development, large proportions of Nigerians still lack access to electricity. The National President, NAEE, Mr. Wumi Iledare, who stated this at the 2015 World Energy Day, said energy contributed greatly to the transformation of the world and provided comfort to the human race. He, however, noted that the association was concerned that majority of Nigerians do not have access to energy, stressing that for those with some form of access, availability and quality still remain major issues to contend with. “Nigeria has vast and varied energy resources, both renewable and non-renewable resources. The nation is also the largest economy in Africa with a GDP (gross domestic product) of about $531.8 billion, according to the World Bank, yet the nation still faces serious energy poverty issues, with energy supply falling short of energy demand. “It is estimated that the nation has as much as 90 percent deficiency in electricity supply while in off-grid areas where some 50 percent of Nigerians live, access to electricity is practically zero. Even in on-grid areas, power outages are still a recurrent theme and this has continued to pose serious constraints to economic development. “There is obvious inequity in energy access based on levels of income, and location. Access is nearly 100 percent in developed countries, compared to 60 percent in the developing countries. ianSweet: 90m Nigerians have no access to power http://qz.com/573325/nigeria-is-betting-on-solar-power-to-reach-a-million-homes-without-access-to-the-grid/ 90m people is double the population of Kenya. ICT and Technology Kenya Is Way ahead of you... Lol We have Mpesa which is the largest African innovation to date. We also have mkopa solar and ushahidi the later of which has been used to monitor even the US elections, used in Haiti during the earthquake and Japan for disaster evasion. Most houses that don't have electricity are powered by mkopa solar but are still not recognized as being on the local power grid In fact, Nairobi's iHub is the largest and most popular technology hub in Africa. Cc hub in Lagos is a small hub with no windows and no parking.. Lol. I have been there a number of times. We have extremely cheap fiber Internet connections. With as little as 5Usd you can get unlimited 5mbps of Internet per month from Able wireless. In fact, there is NO creativity in Nigeria only copy and paste ideas. The only technology that Nigeria is known for is a million online stores(Jumia, Konga and the likes) and dozens of blogs. Andela is one of the extremely few companies to become successful on another field but even then they had to incorporate the company in the USA to have any success.. Lol. All the top leaders are not even in Nigeria. Our stock exchange market is smaller than the Nigerian securities exchange but more automated. We also have more comprehensive companies like Abacus, valuraha, wazua, mystocks etc for analyzing exchange data at a subscription fee affordable to the common citizen compared to Nigeria. It is in fact nowadays easier to invest in our exchange for a beginner compared to the Nigerian one. We also lead in technology in Agriculture with things like twiga foods, mfarm etc TAX returns are ONLY filled online. All exam records for students in primary, secondary/high school and university are ONLY obtained online even public schools including admission letters nowadays. We are recently even introducing laptops to all public primary schools to kids aged 4-13 totally free of charge since primary school education is totally free here. All secondary schools have computer labs. One of our universities, Jkuat assembles their own laptops, Taifa laptops that are used by over 50,000 students Our government is currently experimenting with blockchain technology which powers bitcoin for the education system to curb falsified certificates and for the lands ministry to curb falsified title deeds. This is next level shit not done by any regime in the world. Our largest bank by customer base, Equity, is also experimenting with bit coin. We also have successful startups, like Bitpesa that deal in bit coin. Even in fields like advertisements we lead with the largest indigenous African digital marketing company that IPOed ages ago, Scangroup. When it comes to hosting, we have the largest and most comprehensive local hosting services e.g. Node Africa. The recently collapsed Angani due to board room wrangles Check out something like the Nairobi Dev school led by a 19yr old Martha Chelimo that sought to teach young people about tech and get work for them long before Andela came to existence. This was featured in so many publications and even got her to meet a lot of visionaries including Bill Gates. We have way more successful women in technology and larger women outreach programs in this space with some of the largest startups e.g. Moringa school, Nds, WezaTele and many others being led by women. Almost all tech companies in Uganda and the largest tech companies in Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda upto Mozambique are owned by Kenyans. There is a reason why Kenya is known as the Silicon Savannah. Hahahahaha.. This is my field and I come to consult for some of your largest tech companies in Lagos so I know what the Bleep I am saying. Even our mobile banking is more advanced than in Nigerian despite Nigeria having larger banks. I can apply for a loan of as much as 30000USD on my banking app and have it today. Loans of small sums like 500Usd I get automatically within 10secs of applying Just stick to uploading pictures of bleached women with excess makeup in ridiculous gowns 7 Likes |

You are have got to be the dumbest contributor on this thread. Where do you think Afropolitan feminism started? Funmilayo Rabsome-Kuti, Chimaamanda, Aba women's riot? Do our research before you make statements like this. Ati Naija men prefer their women in the kitchen. If that were true, Kenyan women (who are the most lousy cooks on the continent) would never like Naija men. African women prefer Nigerian men because they show women respect and affection without expecting sex in return, its in our nature, our men are elite, we ain't on the same intellectual plane, so move on. mkenya254: |

You say this forgetting polygamy is more or less legal in Kenya. Look at the kwhat bad of women, Kenya girls look up to: Rachel Shebesh the political hoe, Huddah Monroe, Vera Sidika. Gimme a break, your men are so useless, even your women don't deny it. Buhari a opinion is his alone. You try toasting a Naija's girl and see if you have a chance but as a Naija guy, I always have a chance with a Kenyan girl. Your men lack class and courtesy, that's why those women call Maina's breakfast show to complain about y'all. Muafrika2: |
