oxytet la is a powerful Antibiotics, i have used it before, 0.5mls per bird, make sure you give them Vitamins after the injection because the injection will make them very weak, but in the morning the will be up.

I wish you all the best brother

Thank you so much! Your advice was quick and beneficial.

When such happens it means you have some weak/sick birds among your flock. When you vaccinate weak birds the chance of survival is 50/50.Alternatively if you don't follow the administration of those drugs/ vaccines you could run into troubles.

Thank you my brother, I guess as much too. There were some weak birds among them and could not withstand the vaccine. I'm working on them individually for them to regain their full strength. Thanks!

Good morning house. I have 1870 birds and the are 27weeks, the started laying 3weeks ago as@,yestaday the are on 21crates.the increase on 2crates per day so far. However am having mortality issues, for the past 8days..I have lost about 8 bird and a some sick. We see the dead bird during morning choas. Earlier we noticed brownish water poo, and we treated them for coccidiocis, after another dead we did pm , nothing was discovered but fats, vitamin was prescribe to control it. 4days ago we took a dead bird for pm ,culture n sensiitivity. The pm reveal nothing, the culture reveal e-coli and was prescribe penprovit as @ yestaday. We started administering it today..some of the symtoms shown on the sickbirds is seeing then stretching their legs.. Pls how is their performance and what should I do to treat the problem and prevent future occurance. I try to alway keep them sick free but..Thank you.

Use megadox N and vitamin for 5 days and don't forget to sanitize your water with Isochlor because e coli is a very deadly bacteria that could kill as many birds as possible.I lost more than 500 layers as a result of e coli.Wash your tank and sanitize your water!

1. in addition to nyben4eva invaluable advice, try and deworm them and pack off the litter the following day so that they have a relatively parasite n ammonia gas free environment.
2. make sure they have ventilation cos heat is affecting many poultry farms down south presently, and try and feed very early ,say by 6 am so that they can rest and digest by 9am up wen the sun starts getting hot. so far yr birds are 50% on lay n want to support to increase 80 % or above. make sure they adequate cool water too.
3.hmmm the malaria of poultry - Newcastle ,u need to watch out for too. due to climate change, dormant diseases are becoming active in unexpected places....so watch out. do u have a vaccination plan u stick to?
4. monitoring ,record keeping, biosecurity etc should also be looked into.

It's in tablet form and a tablet treats 1,000 litres of water.Just drop it in the water tank and allow it to dissolve for about 30 minutes before you start giving them the water. The water could still be consumed by humans because it's just a water sanitizer.
Also, don't use the water for vaccination as disnfected water reduces the potency of the vaccines. If you must use it for vaccination, add cowbell milk at the ratio of 2:1(2g per litre of water)

Yea,Isochlor is for sanitizing water and the cause of e coli is as a result of bacteria build up in your water line and tank. You might be treating e coli and still having mortality because the birds are still consuming the same e coli infested water, but when you sanitize the water they consume and treat the disease, your birds gets well.
