Kennyanderson:this will invite trouble... You going to be saying what u filled in ur DS160. If u filled that ur dad is ur sponsor, why turn up with a statment of someonelse? Since u r using a sponsor's statment, u definitely will fill it in ur ds160.. Except u fill ur ds160 to show ur dad as the sponsor and pray they dont ask for the statement odikwa too risky.. Just be honest.. 1 Like |

You know it is good to always be consistent even if you are lying. Well, if your sponsor is stated on your I-20, better fill same on your DS-160 and be ready to tell the VO same thing. Any inconsistency can cause you your dream. In other word, be planning to defend who your sponsor is and how you are related. Kennyanderson: 3 Likes |

mcearnie:darklight used arik and there was no complaints at all. Where are you heading to? Can see you're going to Dayton, Ohio. PCBO is in Toledo |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 10 by GboyegaD(m): 1:37am On Dec 19, 2016 |
mcearnie: I did at some point and promised myself never to fly arik again. Their cabin crew members are disrespectful and proud, and they don't stick to time. Lastly, if your connecting flight from NY to your final destination isn't booked through them, kindly ensure you pick a flight with reasonable time space of at least 8hours as the delay in Lagos can be this long. |

dicapino: Walspring has answered this many times in the past ... . .. see pervious post below although i think now you have to contact the embassy to swap it quote: Switching or updating the old ds160 confirmation code to new ds160 confirmation code In a situation where applicants want to switch or update their old ds160 confirmation code to new ds160 confirmation code after booking visa interview appointment, then the best is to fill a new ds160 form online if you have submitted it and then copy the new ds160 confirmation and go back to the appointment website and click on profile update and insert the new ds160 confirmation and click save, If it's successful you are good to go if not the applicant must contact the embassy by clicking the provide feedback which is at the right corner of their appointment website after login to the site After doing that reprint your appointment confirmation page and and check the two bar codes if the ds160 own corresponding with the one on ds160 confirmation. 3 Likes 1 Share |

My flight was scheduled to leave naija thursday morning at 6.30am. So, i left for lagos on Wednesday and got there around 5pm. After booking an hotel, I went to the nearest eatery to have a last taste of naija dish; fufu and aphan soup and it was so great. Fast forward to 11pm, I left for the airport. We got there around 12.10am and realized check in will start around 2.30am. This is contrary to what I was told that check in starts 24hrs to your departure. Anyways, we hanged around the airport premises. Naso naija police carry their usual nonsense come say we nor fit park at the roadside. One even deflated our tire. I was so enraged but couldn't do anything as I don't want my yankee dream to be delayed whatsoever. Finally, we went to the parking garage not far from the entrance. I learnt you'd have to pay a sum of 400 naira per hour for your stay in the garage but we got lucky the security guys were not around. So, we quickly left before they resumed work (They resume work around 4.30am). The check in started around 3am proper. I was given a tag to write my name, address, and final destination which was attached with my baggage. First were the immigration officers where I parted with #1000 in order to avoid any delay. Nah owo omogo tho but nah esha. By this time, I promised myself I won't be coarsed to pay any money again. I went to weigh my bags and they were on point. I was given my boarding pass as a result. I had completed the first phase of the check in at that time. So, I had time to play with my family and friends. Fast forward again, it was time for my departure. So, I waved goodbye to my family and friends. Mehn, it was so emotional knowing I was finally leaving my mum for yankee. It was a bitter sweet moment but I had to go. i passed all the security men and didn't give them a dime. The next series of event were all foreign to me cos it was my first time entering an aiplane. So, I started praying that God my plane will not do sosoliso this time ooo and am not going to fall like agagu. I got some comfy after praying and took my sit. As the plane started flying, mehn I can't explain how I felt like say my mind Wan cut comot for my body. Naso i start to pray oo say God you no carry me come die for here ooo. I didn't know it's the normal thing but thank God it was a smooth journey to casablanca. The moment I entered casablanca, I knew naija was under spell and nobody can remedy the situation there. Come see casablanca o. Chai smh(naija na scam ). The breeze was peaceful, mildly cold and orderliness was present here. After doing the normal check in, I started to Waka around the beautiful stores inside the airport. Chai, Morocco make sense oo. Mehn, you need to come and see for yourself. After waiting for about 5 hrs(with the company of free wifi), we were taken into a bigger plane en route yankee. It was a long journey with pleasant facility in the plane but not so pleasant food. The best feelings came after seeing the aerial view of Washington dc. Chai, baba God I thank you for bringing me; the boy from no where, all the way to see the magnificent yankee. Brother, yankee fine ooo. I thought I was dreaming cos I only see the view in movies but was now seeing it live and direct. After a long queue, I went in to the poe cubicle. Me: Hello officer Thomas, how you doing today? Officer: ooh am doing good man. Can I have your passport pls? Me: I passed my passport and i20. Officer: so why are you in the us? Me: Am going to the uni of Memphis for my PhD in maths. Officer: ooh wow that cool. So what are you going to do with a PhD? Me: it going to give me the mathematical expertise needed **officer cuts in** Officer: yeah the normal knowledge and expertise needed to excel in your field? Me: yeah yeah exactly. Officer: Man you're gonna make a lot of money. Wow, am so happy for you man. Am always happy to see people like you. Enjoy your study man. Me: Thank you so much. Enjoy the rest of your night. eniolagharxe:In my experience, if you know you won't be able to convincingly discuss what you filled on your DS-160, go fill a new one. Your interview starts with your DS-160. I advise that you fill it again, taking care to account for all the gaps, and smartly talking about your achievements in those places you've been, be it work or school. 1 Like |
