Some banks still allow naira to dollar from your account at bank rate. Wire transfer is possible if u have your FC or the bank agrees to convert your naira to FC. Documents for visa are stated already on this thread. Like some pages back or just click on my ID to search.

Try banks like first bank, standard charterd, stanbic, fidelity, diamond to ask if they can assist. Other alternative is to open a dorm account,buy the dollar or euro in the black market and transfer through your dorm account.Though,this could be expensive considering the fallen naira now.This is a festive season and I know people abroad use to send money into the country in a period like this.If you are very very close to your friend,tell him to help you look for trustworthy people around.However,please if you have your doubt,the dorm account is your best bet

Thanks Mr. Wip. I was at the banks today and was told Form A takes several weeks-if not months- to process. So I guess the only thing left now is to use a dorm account. Getting a referee is another hurdle.

That's not a problem contact who ever helped you with the admission to defer prior to the semester you would like to resume because schools here have periods which they issue out letters..
