Hi peeps I have this E-commerce site that am.working and I decide to seek help from a developer when the the thing gets more tedious for me.

This is what the guy told me. My question now is that why is his own that costly while some webys on nairaland is asking for much lower prices.

of a truth, web quote charges are different when u begin to ask different consultants. some can deliver great and cheap, while some can also deliver nice and expensive. it all bores down to level of professionalism. the truth I was expecting the developer to make mention of should be:
### What kind of ecommerce site should be built- single vendor or multivendor?

### what functionalities must be the store have?

### Will there be room for security? if yes, which level of security should be made available for the superuser and prospective customers?

Exactly.... the fact that he didn't ask for details is enough....

But OP, different companies with different price

First, I think the price is not bad. But truly he seems more concerned with the price than the actual job. This is a sign of most novices. They get so focused on settling the price because of so many reasons, one of them could be because of other bargains they've had, so they believe that they should iron out the price before anything. This however doesn't mean that they can't handle the job, it just means that they really really need the money. Which is not a very good buzz to give off. My advice is give him the job, or better still, give him a smaller task out of the bigger job and agree on a little payment for that small task. So if he bails out on you, you wouldn't loose much money and this will keep him coming for more, once he gets the first pay, that is if he is a good programmer. The problem is: Developers like this would be very problematic when the client starts making demands

I'd rather advise you ask for a sample to see and know what is in stock rather than castigate the bill. If he's a developer with a good work, it's worth the price too.

The guy is too fixated on the price. Lol
