Hello All, I am a silent reader on this thread and I need your help on this Canada birthing visa application. Can I apply with my husband for visa solely for the purpose of birthing or I should apply alone? I was able to get some point from the pages av read so far but i still need a response to my question from the gurus in the house. |

@ Hotstepper, Pls how can I reach you? I need to get some information from you. I have read through the thread and seen how you helped a lot of people. Thanks a lot. Pls I will like if you can drop me your email address. I am pregnant and plan birthing in Canada. However I don't know how to go about it as I do not know anyone who has personally gone this route. It's mainly US I have information about. BTW: I already have my visa. Please dear, get back to me. Thanks a lot. |

Joyeka: -Free public healthcare -Better gun control law (less violent crimes) -No double taxation. This means that the child (when they become an adult) does not get to pay tax to the Canadian government if they don't reside in Canada. -Lower tuition for home college students. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Hotstepper: Thanks for your reply. 1. Please what do you think about delivery fee in Toronto versus Alberta? Which is cheaper in general terms? I know for instance Houston offers cheaper hospitals compare to some other states in the US. For Canada, What is it like? And is there any advantage of one over the other? 2. Also during my visa application i stated tourism, should I write the embassy now indicating I intend to birth with the visa or just state my purpose at POE? Pls tell me what you think. Thanks again as I await your response. |

RedReact: Good day RedReact, please I will like your honest opinion on this. I already have my visa but it was obtained on the purpose of tourism only. Should I write the embassy now stating that I want to have my baby in Canada and why or should I just state that at POE? Pls tell me what you think |

mariam99ng:Someone applied for the sole purpose of birthing and was granted, so you can. However, I think you should apply alone while the other things you would need would be sent in by hubby from Nigeria. 1 Like |

Canadian visa applications take: - 120 days approx - 4 months approx - 16 weeks approx - by the time your visa is out, you would probably be 25+16=41 weeks - how about applying after you've had this child instead? - then you can apply with your newborn, for a tourist visa, travel to canada and then later inform the embassy, that you wish to have your baby in Canada?. Cheers! Dodoobim: 1 Like 1 Share |

Dodoobim: Am a silent reader of this forum and i will like to thank everybody for the useful tips and information it does help because anytime i want to travel aboard and need apply visa i do come to nairaland and read all the information from page to page and this gives added advantage..from my uk visa ,to europe visa ,to usa visa .... most tips and pattern were gotten from here December 2015 , Canada and usa signed a share information Implementing Arrangement between the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency, and the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security of the United States concerning Biographic Visa and Immigration Information Sharing ) but that does not means you will be rejected because usa refuse you visa so far your usa visa refuse is not based on threats to public security and you are not inadmissible to Canada but just be honest with your intentions. you can apply explaining with a good backup letter why you want to give birth in Canada ,you can afford it with prove, bank account for last six month and your ties like letter from job ,property and others proof to your home country, with your travel experience attached because my family applied and got the visa to our surprise in 14 working days but we had a valid usa visa maybe that an added advantage ..so the 4 month or 120 days is not in all situation ,i wish you all the best ..you can give it a try just be open and honest with your intentions 3 major point ***Do applicants have sufficient funds? ****Will they leave Canada at the end of their period of authorized stay? ***Are they admissible? but why was your usa visa refused ,most renewal is via drop box ,or you were invited for interview 1 Like |
