The discrimination towards engineering students is appalling, after using 5yrs+ in skool will end up teaching in this nysc scheme while other course like law and medicine are treated with respect. The officials in this nysc system has made the system so corrupt and rotten that people do all sorts to influence the posting and at the end of d day the innocent ones gets thrown to the leftovers which are usually bad and nothing to write home about. God help naija

I was angry when I was posted to a school,in one remote area in umuahia,,,wen d teachers there asked my course,i told them I studied agricultural engineering,,,,, they all clamoured wow!!!! like they haven't heard engineering for decades,,,,,me dat was hoping for ministry of agriculture,,,,,,,wat pains me past be say,those dat we be posted to ministry of agriculture are not the one that studied agriculture related courses

Same with me o. I studied Agricultural Engineering in post harvest option, and found myself posted to a village secondary school. Can't just cry. Still thinking on how am gonna teach those poor students physics that I was given.

maybe I'm the. only one who was happy about my posting both to the village and a school.

the only thing I'm angry about is that my village is far from Ibadan.. but, I can always migrate on weekends.

In Enugu State, NSE were so displeased with NYSC for sending Engineering Corp Members to schools and called for reposting of them to Firm. But we are still waiting for the outcome. It will not help da Engineering Corp Members @all.

Get a request letter from a coy and you will be posted there or wait till the end of ur service year because there will be no fruitful outcome.

I understand how you feel bro,I believe graduates of professional courses should be posted to firms and organizations that requires their area of specialization,one thing is just that some people will still teach,I rejected myself from the two earlier place I was posted until I was reposted to this third company and its better,you can try talking to your ZI.
