England does not produce enough quality midfielders, they overhype their talents and they also dont do enough to coach their young players.
Most of their talents regress after a few years on the world stage. It is not just heavy schedule, they just produce an inordinately high number of bone headed players especially midfield e.g Barkley, Rodwell, Wilshere e.t.c

lol i corrected it, thanks.
Many of these English players have youthful talent which excites the average fan but most lack intelligence and/or coaching. That is why Barkley will put head down and run 30 yards and shoot narrowly over the bar exciting the crowd when the right thing would have been instant 20 yard pass to free Lukaku and get a better shot at goal down the line. Same thing with Wilshere running with the ball constantly and lunching into tackles like Roy Keane when he knows has brittle bones

In terms of intensity, England is the most physically demanding country to play in. And we haven't even mentioned the domestic cups. Add European duties to it and you will realise that those guys you mentioned were relatively protected from the physical abuse their colleagues in EPL get.

Apari dayo and his ajakaja40 will never understand.

Wilshere is a player that cannot be described as bone headed. His entire game is based on high football IQ.

Matter of opinion, i agree he is more intelligent than the rest of the bone thugs. However his tackling is bone headed, his smoking is bone headed. His decision making has not progressed as expected. There is a difference between having ability on the ball, passing etc which he has and knowing when to calm the game down and when to dribble through a crowd of sliding tackles which he has not.

I had high hopes for him but the standards change when you enter your 20s. The mistakes that were glossed over when you were a teenager become highlighted if still present when you are 23

Luis Suarez is bone headed then for running around biting people. Berbatov is bone headed for smoking.

Those are issues not related to football. Football intelligence and common sense are different to each other.

Its only halfway through the season and Wilshere has already played more this season than he did in the previous two seasons due to injury. Infact his last game for Arsenal was in November 2014.

Can you make mistakes in the sickbay?

Great Players playing for Great teams compared to the rest of the league. What does this have to do with the physical nature of the league? Which other league plays through the christmas period? Not forgetting they have to play in a minumum of 3 different competitions

You mean that those top 4 scorers currently in the EPL were not great in the non rigorous La Liga but were suddenly great in the rigorous EPL?

What does this have to do with anything? when at the end of the season Sevilla, Atletico, Madrid Barca still play more games than EPl sides

Madrid will travel to Japan to play CWC and not complain of rigours but its the team that travel 3 bus stops aways from West London to North London that will be complaining

Not producing talents anywhere on the field is Englands problem but they think the 35% players in their own estimation are 85%

Not realizing brawns and raw speed is no substitute for common sense. Pirlo, Zidane and Xavi will coordinate midfield sitting on a chair while running rings round Gerrard and co

It didn't take me hours of tape to realize Bebe was not a professional footballer, Wheelchair still making teenage mistakes almost every time he gets sick leave from hospital duty to grace the pitch.

But this is a digression. These English players are generally not tactically sound or maybe well coached enough. When was the last time England produced midfielders known for their wise and economical use of the ball like Weigl, Thiago, Veratti? Instead the produce guys depending on speed and hustle in CM like Barkley, Dele Alli et al

When you are young and have more physical attributes than others e.g you can run faster or stronger you get hyped, As you grow older these advantages wane away and you are left with your football intelligence which is why English players are always found wanting

Thats why someone will pay 35M for Andy Carroll, thats why they will tell us Joe Cole is better than Schweinsteiger, Terry at his prime is better than Boatank,

2010 an English journalist was tlling us how only 2 German players will make the English team.

I agree. You can't just be churning out midfielders who lack the basic understanding of what it takes to play the role

Stinking up the joint is him currently 3rd behind 2 new coaches. Top 3 sides are coached by new guys who just came into the EPL while coaches who have spent considerable time in the league are below them

EPL must be so hard that Conte, Klopp and Pep in their first full season are occupying top 3 position

You have a point there. Which is what i was saying about using speed and hustle to excite the crowd in your teens. When you get older you have to be able to make the right decisions most of the time and should have been taught properly the basic duties of your position.

Not everyone who went to La masia became great. La Masia isnt performing magic, they need you to have a football brain first which most English footballers lack

Thiago, Veratti, Weigl who are these people? cheesy

England has produced the likes of Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes so it's not really a coaching thing. Neither is it a talent issue.

Of course physicality is a part of it. You need to be fit to play, and you need to play to improve. The issue is the way these guys are overplayed. I remember reading that Ferguson promised Jorge Mendes to only play Ronaldo in 50% of his games to avoid burn out.

The intensity is insane. Look at your club for example. Mikhtrayan wasnt even fit enough to play till recently and he's injured again. Phil Jones is a permacrock. Bailly came back from injury and injured his other knee in a sprint.

Then you have managers like Mourinho and Klopp telling players that a little pain is fine. Shaw injured his groin and Smalling broke his toe in two places yet Jose lambasted them in the press for not giving their all. These pressures and the exertions from the game can wreck your body if you're not naturally built of granite.

In other countries, the younger players player fewer games, at lower intensity, and benefit from mid season breaks, so they stay fitter for longer and can develop the other sides of their game.

IT IS MORE INTENSE WE KNOW THIS. At least all of us apart from Dayo lol.
But this intensity is being used as an excuse to gloss over the fact that Andros Townsend today is still as moronic in his runs as he was at age 18. Forget the injuries for a minute many of these guys are the walking definition of unintelligent. The mindset of the coaches even at youth level helps to foster this over athletic/ non tactical/ unintelligent kind of footballer.
Even when they are fit they are poor tactically and in terms of decision making.

Yh but the Premier league is not just brawn alone. It's a mix of both. It toughens you up the way other leagues don't.

You must be having a laugh when evidence shows us that an EPL dominated team will always fail at major tournaments. With other teams running them around smartly

In the last 2 tournaments England was sent home by Iceland and Costa Rica

The most sensible players in the EPL are those that grew up in other football cultures. Like Ozil, Silva, Mata, KdBruyne, Fabregas, Eriksen. Who are the footballers who grew up English cultures that have a football brain? Compare those above to Barkley, Wilshere, Walcott, Oxlade, Sterling, Alli who are English

Costa was great in La Liga. There is a reason He was the top scorer for a Title winning team. Aguero was also easily one of the best players in the league during his time there. Shame Atletico were not that good. Sanchez was also decent. He was outstanding in his last season. He was 4th top scorer in the league playing in a team that had Messi.

On average Teams in the Premier league play more games than their La Liga counterparts. Carling Cup,League,FA Cup and Uefa competitions. Add to the fact they get no winter break whatsoever. No be beans abeg.

The likes of City and Arsenal would happily bite your hands if you offered them Real's schedule.

Oh we get it England is the only place where players get injured. Half of the Dortmund team is injured, Same was Bayern in many yrs

Reus has been injured, Gundogan was a regular at the doctors

Bailly got injured in a Europa game, Shaw got injured last yr in a CL game vs PSV, yes its the intensity of the EPL that made PSV moreno to injure Shaw

Andros townsend is not a top player na. He didn't even make the squad to Euro 2016.

The current top young English players are Kane, Alli, Sterling, Wilshere, Oxlade, Stones, Clyne, Rashford etc, and they are all 1st team squad members for teams in the top 4.

Stones is the only one who is just a pure 'imbecide' on the list. The rest are really really good players.
