People Democratic Party (PDP) has won all 17 councils in the Abia State local council elections, the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission has announced.

Four political parties- the PDP, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP) participated in the polls on Wednesday.

APC and APGA have reacted to the outcome of the polls, describing the exercise as a sham.

It was obvious to Buhari, Ameachi, Dakuku and Daura that Rivers is predominantly a PDP state but they still deployed everything at their disposal to rig the rerun elections. They would have attempted same in Abia if 50 gallons of crude oil is found there.
