darknetcom: Some are hugely misinformed about nigeria,we have our bad sides of which blindfolds some not to see the good side, many more have not even been shown on this forum and many more are been developed as we speak,,,no need to shudder when one is on a legitimate migration,in as much as our leaders have failed to live up to expectations we must strive to vote them out,n support war on corruption,we as a people have to play our part too,by eschewing religious bygotery, ethnicity, cronism, nepotism, political gangsterism etc, if you observe ,we might not be there yet,but we are on course! |

Oga I know a lot of smart dudes who can cook up complex mathematical equations in seconds but flunked English in school. Read my previous post, the Chinese guy doesn't have to learn a language foreign to him so it's easier for him to advance but in Africa when you go to school., you first have to learn the language of instruction, then learn what you came to learn, that is where the issue is because if you are not some one with a natural grasp of language, how do you cope with speaking it? naijalander:The guy's grasp of English grammar is very poor.If you read what he posted and which you quoted, you will notice a very bad grammatical error which I pointed out to him and which he couldn't defend. He and his goon, gallivant, use embarrassing English grammar. They are the ones with little intelligence, pay them no heed, bro. |

obaaderemi:Bro, your grammar isn't something to write home about either.... This sentence is a perfect example of your tottering in the use of the language. obaaderemi:Its supposed to be, If you read what he posted and what you quoted.... that is in reference to one party which is obsolete in your sentence. obaaderemi:You use "a" when referring to nouns that can be classified in plural or singular form 4 Likes 3 Shares |

Nigerian English is terrible! Just go through their news sites and see reputable Nigerian reporters writing things that will shock you. Someone needs to check what is in their English text books. It's the most logical explanation of the countywide problem. 1 Like |

Kenyanstar:He wrote 'something' WHICH was quoted by the nigerian.how can you use WHAT in that instance? Why are you kenyans so arrogant you can't learn anything? Now,to the other one.I wrote '..a very bad grammatical error..'U said 'a' should be used for nouns that can be put in plural or singular form-are you telling us here that 'grammatical error' can not be a plural noun as in 'GRAMMATICAL ERRORS'?That makes it three kenyans whose grammatical errors I have corrected on nairaland in the space of one hour.It must be a national malaise in kenya.SORRY,JOHN. |

gallivant:'...Construct a simple English..'.Lol..I have been laughing my head off for hours. The saddest part of it is that another little prick Kenyan liked it of all the things to like on God's green Earth. My little nephew wanted to know what was so amusing so I showed him the stupid post and the whole house is upside down.(my little nephew is a little imp, forgive him-guy takes after me.)On a serious note,I think Kenyans should stick to posting pictures;that way they don't get to embarass themselves on a foreign site. |

obaaderemi: Well oga mumu, learning the difference between restrictive and nonrestrictive relative clauses could help you plenty... obaaderemi: I thought since you mix up your grammar with a mish mash of pidgin you forgot to insert "which" at the embolden word to differentiate between the restrictive aspect to a nonrestrictive one. Restrictive relative clauses are typically introduced by that, as well as by whose, who, or whom. Note that in British English, the word which is often used interchangeably with the restrictive that: obaaderemi: Can you re read your sentence and see how stupid it sounds... you kind of look awkward expressing your ignorance on social media putting in mind i always find English as a very boring language. Note that a nonrestrictive clause is preceded by a comma (setting off the extra information), whereas no comma should precede a restrictive clause (indicating that the information is essential, not extra): 1 Like |

SIGHHHHH!! As usual you guys weren't honest with your photospam! In all your 24,987 pix of the same 6 or 7 buildings in Abuja you neglected to inform us that the airport is being closed due to potholes (G-A-S-S-S-S-P-P-P!!) on the single runway!! Nigeria will close the airport in the capital Abuja for six weeks from February to repair its badly damaged runway, the government said on Tuesday, after airlines threatened to stop flying there.http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-nigeria-airport-idUKKBN1492HQ Seriously, how the actual fvck does this happen?! 3 Likes |
