She plucked few bitter leafes, smashed it and rubbed the water that came out from it on her tips so whenever her son came to suck, he will just taste the bitter taste and run. She continued doing that for days until the toddler got tired of looking for the bitter stuff himself.

My sis, I thought weaning a baby is a difficult task before but now, it seems its one of the simplest thing to achieve I. this journey so far. I planned to breastfeed my boy for 1year 6 myths before but different kinds of mouth here and there made me change my mind to 15 months. His father has been complaining, but I kept breastfeeding him, so few days back, his father started yabbing him of sucking, only for me to bring out breast, he looked at me and started smiling, he sucked it a bit and stopped. Another time, he looked at me put his mouth and bite my nipple, he has bitten me like 3 times now without sucking.

Now to the main issue, whenever he wakes up, I give him cereal. That will make him to sleep for like 4 hrs at a stretch. Then I give him Tea again, that take him till day break. Then Crunching Digestive biscuit whenever he feels like his mouth should be busy.
He now wake up less unlike when he was still sucking at night.

God just made it easy for me. Thank you Jesus, it can only be You.


At least, am proud to breastfeed him for 15 months.

I know warm water first thing in the morning helped, as much as baby can take.

You can try another teat. Another trick is to boil the teat till it's a bit tender.

I use avent bottles/teat with a steam steriliser which I believe over time softens the teat.

Another thing is to stick to formula brands. Once you discover a brand she likes, stick to it. I remember there was a certain time (just suddenly) my son wasn't keen on Aptamil but I kept offering it even though he would drink little and refuse the rest. After a few days, he began guzzling everything down and I even had to up the quantity with an extra 20ml.

You can use saline drops. Also I put drops of silverbird eucalyptus oil on the clothes so she can inhale. It will ease off the catarrh

You wash with the conditioner instead, so add water like you want to wash and instead of shampoo, use conditioner... some will even lather up. Rinse as normal . It will remove sweat and most of the dirt if the hair is reall dirtyf or a baby, you may not even need anything else.
