donnypool: You are the one without common sense. Music is music. Adele, Coldplay, Paul McCartney and so many other British singers are stars in the US. Yes, Korean songs are and will be played in China if it's interesting and pleasing to the ears. And yes, Americans play German songs at their events. The Ghanaian guy ranting wouldn't mind they play Beyonce and other non African songs in their events but will blast them for playing Nigerian songs. He should chill. There was a time Ghanaian highlife music was played widely in eastern nigeria, Nigerians weren't complaining. He obviously has something against Nigerians. 2 Likes 1 Share |

What's the senseless rumble and envy! It's no new thing. Ghana radio stations, TV, homes, public places, taxi cabs, hotels play Nigerian music like we do here. 1 Like 1 Share |

JeffreyJamez: You see that is the problem of the black man... Do you think the white have ALWAYS been where they are today?? You treat yourself the way you want to be treated... Eedris abdulkareem stood up and changed the way Nigerian show organisers treat Nigerian artistes..... Use our finance as an example If we were self sustained and not doing too much import, would the naira even dare go beyond 2naira per dollar? The answer is NO! BACK TO MUSIC... You see there is a reason why they give you (African) the BET best African act award BEFORE THE MAIN SHOW (while they're still setting up and cleaning) they want you to know your place....and its a message....you have clearly understood and that is why you struggle to be relevant chasing America artistes upandan for collabo..... When you don't value yours, a foreigner will come and also devalue it...and you can't do shit.... If you kick Nigerian music out of Ghana, Ghanaians will hav no choice than to love their artistes and know their songs. Just like we do in Nigeria here. Lets be frank Nigerian artistes sing garbaage, but you hear it all the time on radio , tv etc till your mind is occupied by it... Have you ever asked yourself why no Nigerian hiphop star is relevant in south Africa They dont give a damn about M.I... They listened to thrash until Aka khuli chana proverb etc came along... You have to create your own value system....else psquare go come Ghana go disrespect dia artistes becos after all they are bigger than them in their own country.... 2 Likes 2 Shares |

GunsAndRoses: How much of ghanian music do you play is the question? Ghana needs to support her own artists that is the only way...less import more self sufficiency esp on radio and tv... 4 Likes 3 Shares |

donnypool: Ofcourse we know there's a cold war btw some of these developed countries cause by far more serious issues, but it never negates progression. Meanwhile its always salient here, but disappointingly on frivolous matters. That isn't the bone of contention.. I still say they have a common type of downloads chart 2 Likes 1 Share |

Zedoo:Ghana has no good music industry and film industry. Music is of the soul and it knows no prejudice, patriotism, nationality or creed. If music applies to your soul, it speaks to your conscience. It is down right silly asking people to be musically biased. There was a time when Nigerian music was in hibernation 1999 and early 2000s when we played music from francophone west Africa and we didn't understand a word in French. Awilo and co. Until we tapped into our talents, we became quite independent in music. There was never a call by any celebrity to jettison foreign music in Nigeria. Ghana should do same and not complain. You guys are always too green with Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |
