you see, that blue chicken or red goat is what we call god. someone else might decide to describe it with another term so far it does not influence the laws of its creation( in our case, so far God or the red goat or the blue chicken does not violate the laws of physics).

personally, I believe in natures god, an unbiased god(neither a Christian god or other religions god) who does not require his creation to worship it/him/her.

Why would the deistic god not require worship:: well, look up into the cosmos, there are so many stars like the sun out there(billions of them), there is a high probability that there will be a planet revolving round a star out there that will have the eccentricity that will allow evolution to take place

if there are a system of world, why would a god care much about one than the other?. Don't you think it will be logical to put a law in place that will allow things to run smoothly?(unless you think there is a reason why it has to intervene)

Also, whether you perceive these interventions as selfish or not is besides the point. What we are talking about whether they are there or not.

we(deist) believe that the universe is the evidence, we believe that the natures god gave humanity something to think bout. For instance, our ability to create centrifuges is based on scientists work on circular motion, which was a direct observation of the motion of in individual planets round the sun.

by carefully observing the shape of the sun, one will agree that making a round ball is better than making a square ball.....and many more.

but saying that the creator is the god of organized religion does not make any sense, cos how is Yahweh more powerful than the flying spaghetti monster(all hail your noodles appendage). both adherents can equally claim that they received vision from there god. that does not make sense.

I respect agnostics any day any time cos of their humbleness, likewise atheists for rejecting the concept of organize religion. But religion adherent sometimes get on my nerve because they think they are more special than others(giving selfish testimonies)
