Hello people. I just got admission to a college in Candan to study BSc Biotechnology for September 2017. How do I apply for study permit? Is the online application fast?

Check CIC website for documents required and choose any route.

Please, whats your Age and previous qualifications?

I applied to 3 schools for four different msc thesis based programs in December. Do u consider dat late? I applied to UBC and they require transcript from my UG institution. Do I make arrangement with my school to send my transcript now or chill until after admission decision.

Late if only it has passed program deadline.

Are you sure UBC require hard copy transcript?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Riddeek: 3:15pm On Dec 26, 2016
UBC does not require sending original transcript till after admission. It is clearly stated on their grad studies website and should be on your department web page

And pls I am not a student there. I have not even applied yet

You are right, they only require an electronic copy for application. I'd arrange for the official hard-copy to be sent be my school after admission decision has been reached.

I noticed the statement of intent letter I wrote was 2 pages while I read from d website that it must not be more than one. Will this affect my application negatively?

miella:

I don't know the exchange rate.

Exchange rate is amount you were charged in naira equivalent divided by the cad amount you paid. E.g #25,000/100cad = #250 per cad.

Please calculate yours and let us know.

Assume that it will be shared.
Damisa03:
Good evening guy, pls I need your opinion on this, assuming I had a travel history to the UK and I didn't include it for my Canadian study permit but included it for a US visiting visa which was granted. Would this information be shared to Canada that I include a travel history to my US visiting visa and didn't include this for my Canada study permit. Because I know they share information with each other. Pls I need your intake on this. Thanks very much

Don't open the file in the browser. Download it directly to your computer and then open it with Adobe Acrobat.

Thank you so much.

Also, I am having issues downloading the IMM 1294 on CIC website. I have used several browsers. Please help me.

You still have to be patient and hopefully they will get to you about further instructions. Timing for medical request varies and are randomly done after review of application following submission and this is really not dependent on when you submitted.Cic will always reach you and instruct you when they need you to undergo one. Nobody here can tell you when you will get the request. So keep being hopeful it come sooner and your application approval follows afterwards.
