Nollywood has gone a long way since it was established, and consequent release of its first set of home videos, dated back to the 80’s. Since then a lot of talented men and women have benefited immensely from these industry. It has enriched many and also brought fame and glory the country.

3. NKEM OWOH (OSUOFIA/ UKWA)


Osuofia or Ukwa came into limelight upon the release of the movie titled “UKWA”, this particular movie gave the head start for him to featured in other movies including the widely watch 2003 “OSUOFIA IN LONDON” which eventually became one of Nollywood greatest achievements. His comedic nature has earned him his present status. In 2008 he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

4. CHINEDU IKEDIEZE (AKI)

Undoubtedly Aki did not miss the list. Chinedu was born on December 12, 1977. He is a graduate of IMT Ghaziabad. Aki is a household name when it comes to comedy. He received the African movie academy lifetime achievement award in 2007. Chinedu is married and earns a lot of money from Nollywood.

5. OSITA IHEME (PAWPAW)

PAWPAW

Born on August 24, 1982. He is one man who has proven to the world that size is not a barrier. Pawpaw as he is fondly called captured the minds of his fans in the movie Aki na Ukwa, a role which he played alongside his friend and colleague Chinedu Ikedieze. He also was awarded with the African movie academy lifetime achievement award in 2007.

6. RAMSEY NOUAH

He was born on December 19, 1970. He is popularly known for playing the “lover boy” in movies. Ramsey Nouah is an old actor who has stared in a couple of breath taking films. One of such movies is the movie titled “WHEN LOVE DIES”. Many consider him to be the most sought after actors in Nigeria.

7. DESMOND ELLIOT

Born February 4, 1974 He is a Brilliant and one of the most successful Nollywood actors, a film director and politician. Not only does he get his income true movie producing and acting, He also does advertisement for some private institutions (soap operas).

8. MIKE EZURONYE
EZURUONYE

Born September 21, 1982. He is Married to Nkechi Nnorom in 2010. He is always very wild in his movies, likes to play the “bad boy” role. He began acting in the early two thousands. Some of he has featured are; the mayors, the dupex etc.

9. JOHN OKAFOR (MR IBU)

Mr. Ibu is a funny character that always amuses his audience on and offset. Mr. Ibu like the likes of Osita Iheme, Chinedu IKedieze, and Nkem Owoh is one of the funniest comedian in Nollywood. To add to his acting career John Okafor is also a football agent, and these fetches him additional income.

10. NONSO DIOBI


His first notable appearance in a movie was probably “Hatred” which was produced in 2001. Nonso has featured in more than 80 movies since then. He studied Theatre Art at the University of Nigeria, Enugu State.
