hello my people, happy new year.
i have read a lot of encouraging write ups about the almighty Gionee m6 battery, and i decided to get one for myself. but my first use of the phone was not impressive atall. the battery drops like any normal average phones out there, opposed to what ive read about the battery, and i doubt this can even charge a nokia touch.

im so worried, and many questions are running throuh my mind. i wonder if i have messed mp my phones battery or i got a fake Gionee m6

my battery dropped to 78% without playing music or videos after 5hours, 3mins. A user here had his drop to 76% after 19hours, 47 mins. what is the matter with my battery, should i return the phone please, im i using an m6 clone

New year new trouble

With everything I see being active on your phone,am not surprised it's dropping charge like the Naira..only you alone got your Bluetooth, WiFi and HotSpot on and you're complaining about the battery depleting?

The first pic did not show usage bro.. .... What if the owner did not touch the person 17hrs out of the 19hrs?
Let him show show the screen meter for us to know how active the phone was during the 19hrs.

Even at that, it's not supposed to drop that fast na.Contact jumia to lay your complain.

So when I start to download my heavy duty ppsspp games, get thousands of apps, music, videos and pictures, the battery will them last for about 4 hours.

The phone is still a Virgin now. Not impressive atall

I doubt it's a clone,that's an AMOLED screen am looking at and that's hard to clone,having said that always take a manufacturers battery claims with a pinch of salt..
Also try to minimize those Apps and features which are battery hogs when not in use:WiFi,Bluetooth, HotSpot and Facebook will definitely deplete your battery if constantly active..

So as my m5plus' battery. Wouldn't know if Jumia sold a fake one to me. Not really impressed with the battery.

Nope it's not. My droipad 8h can stay up to dat time without dropping more dan 1 or 2 % power without use. And its even going to 2yrs now of use

Hahaha and they were all over this phone section telling us how long the battery lasts. No trust anything from China completely.

Bro, you've got your hotspot, 3G, and Bluetooth on. If that's how you typically use it, then 22 percent in 5 hours isn't bad.

Besides, you don't know what the guy who got 17 hours was doing with his phone at the time.

My M5 is spectacular with its battery at least. Only on 3G for about 40 minutes now. Dropped 1%. It's larger capacity than the M6 though.

I just noticed something disturbing. After counting the USAGE SINCE LAST FULL CHARGE, I noticed that the total usage from all apps is 43%, meaning I should have 57% available.
But It's now 19%

This shows that the phone power usage calculation does not correctly correspond with the depletion of the battery.

That's what i am using o, and the battery is very strong even with heavy downloads and surfing the net.

Same problem here with my new m5 mini

Don't know whether to buy a new battery already

all these people buying phones from online shops, smh...some of these phones have factory defect, so unluckily u got on of em' call for a refund, carry u money jejely go to a phone outlet, and buy ur phone. i can never advice someone to buy gadgets online especiaaly from jumia

True, konga is even more reliable... I got my m6 directly from gionee care shop at Mokola r/abt Ibadan and it's working perfectly, no issues whatsoever ... It's overworking sef. Lol.. See my battery usage today na The phone wasn't even fully charged as at when i plugged it by past 12am, it got to 83 percent.I have been pressing it non stop from midnight till now.. It only rested from 4a.m-8a.m when I was asleep. So far, i have gotten 16 hrs battery life plus my heavy usage on 3g... So the issue is not general at all, the phone has a bad ass battery, cos i am always using mine heavily.

yea.. It has led notification light..Gionee m6 plus is not coming anytime soon.Besides d 64gb is even too much for me, so far I have used about 28gb.

I am into movies,no time for games jare.The hustle no dey let me see road. I see no need loading the phone memory with movies i know i won't watch.I prefer seeing movies at a cinema,there i am forced to concentrate and enjoy it cos my money is literally counting.

Gionee batteries are kinda poor IMO

Maybe that your M6 has a defect. I use Gionee M5 and the battery last me for 3 days on heavy usage... Seems u enter a one chance bro. I bought mine OK Konga
