From my experience, UKZN and UNIZULU has a method of evaluating ones academic transcript themselves but in all fairness, I know SAQA certificate is one of the major perquisite to be used to grant your study permit by RSA embassy
Hey Bro in UKZN no Saqa no admission. Presently i am doing my masters degree in UKZN I don't know of UNIZULU

This is not completely accurate. I know for a fact that the department of mathematics does not require SAQA.

Hello iwise, Please are you currently studying in department of mathematics? Do you know anyone that got admission from UKzn without Saqa?

@Femiaction, I am currently waiting for my PhD admission at UKZN without my SAQA evaluation. I hope to get my admission letter as soon as the school resumes for current academic session by Jan 9. Even UNIZULU gave me same admission without demanding for my SAQA.
From my experience, each schools has its own method of transcript evaluation.
@mcafeez, Just register for saqa to be on the safe side since you'll be applying for your study permit. Also, the saqa could afford you the opportunity to apply to some other schools.

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by penitential(m): 7:39am On Jan 03, 2017
From oshodi, take bus going to lekki-ajah, tell the bus conductor that you're stopping at ikate roundabout (third roundabout) when you stop, cross over to the other side of the road and enter through the gate. Vfs office is just about 2 minutes walk from the gate.

They accept cash only.
Study Visa can be process less than two weeks and in some cases more than two weeks, it all depend on the peculiarity of each application. VFS Lagos state on their website that visa application result will be ready within 30 days.

I forgot marriage certificate at home when submitting my application for study permit, the Vfs officer asked and I jokingly told him, am a man, it's woman property, he only laughed and agree!
I hope it won't affect my application?
pls share your views or experience. I am going for PhD.
