now 27weeks......i just dey vex paper route going at a speed of light while online route no dey move. we need to discuss about this..something need to be done becos waiting is killing

It's very obvious that the processing time updated on cic site ain't true.thats why I had to create a tabular list to have an idea of the amount of weeks we have to get a response. From the first person (princesspass ) to the last person here that got a response (Jden) we are looking at 30 weeks to 34 weeks . It's crazy but what can we do. The online process is too slow and it's unfair. From what I have also observed for online applicants , once called for Medicals, it almost takes another month for passport request or otherwise. My opinion tho. My prayer is that by January they should hasten their process or do something about this because they have a lot of backlogs !!!!its well

@VEIL1234 yes it's vfs lekki. Make sure you fill all documents properly before you go and submit. The cafe in Vfs is a bit pricey. Goodluck.

Happy New year to all. Good to be here, i have a question concerning CIC application forms. For those that apply through paper root, what are the CIC forms i need to apply with my daughter...i want to apply for SOWP while my daughter for visiting because she is still a toddler.

Apart from the work permit application form and family form, and visiting form for my daughter, what other CIC form do i need to apply with?

Please house is there any need for police report for my SOWP application? I have not seen it anywhere though, just asking. Those who have submited and those who have gotten approval pls advise. Thank you.

hello, I advise you apply for open work permit for your husband and NOT "visit visa". From little research I have done, visit visa is rarely granted to spouse of students. Mostly refused on purpose of visit while open work permit is almost certain though might take a long time to process especially if you go online route. Please consider open work permit even if your husband doesn't have intention to stay there.... AND do paper route

I don't think that is necessary. If you have stated in your application that your wife is a student , then that won't be a problem. Once she gets her pgwp from the border,she can then apply for it to be on her passport instead of it just being on a piece of paper. That was what my husband did and it didn't take up to two weeks for the process. His passport was mailed after being stamped.

I also think the vo's know that after a student is done with school, he or she is entitled to pgwp (the number of years he/she studied)so if they are to issue you visa, they are going to give you the date your wife's pgwp will expire . But let's hear others opinions too .

I believe you can apply for your husband even become you commence your studies in Canada (I stand to be corrected). I know ppl like @team12 @bossypumping made SOWP applications for their spouses before they commenced their studies in canada. @Gymme will surely have accurate answer to this

if he wants to rely on the wife's PGWP for his OPen work permit don't you think the wife must secure employment in certain category of occupation (NOC A or O). Pls look into this
