DMerciful: Happy New year Bro. Yeah, unfortunately it is the burden i will have to bear for now and only enjoy it occasionally as it delivers. No qualms, we'll keep tweaking RE from all areas till we are completely independent. Cheers. 1 Like |

anybody knows where i can buy a solar car battery tender, 12v 10w and above...searched on konga/jumia...saw only 4.5w, too low to actually sustain juice in a car battery. the car wud be parked for months, thus wanna use the unit to keep the battery in tiptop condition |

Hello house, Finally got my solar setup running. The amps was really low till I loaded the system with 270watts combined load from my freezer and fridge connected to add loads to the system. Now am recording a max of 700watts from my 6 x 200watts pannel. Got the battery banks to 100% SOC by 12 noon today still watching the system. @ Demerciful , where and how do I get the WiFi box attachment for my charge controller. I have 40amps epever tracer A . It should be compatible. 1 Like

compliments solar gurus and the ogas at the top. this harmattan wheather is really affecting solar harvest. none the less we must forge on to overcome this obstacle.. i use an epsolar itracer series 60a charge controller to charge my 48v 200ah batteries.my solar array is 12* 250 watts 3000watts total. according to epsolar charge manual pv input max is at 3200watts. can i keep adding more panels over this 3200 watts just to beat the bad wheather effect on solar harvest..is it of any benefit. guys pls advice |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by durodee(m): 8:01am On Jan 10, 2017 |
samnaija:Try and wash your panels regularly. There will be a dramatic change. It is always better to stay within wattage rattings for your Cc but you can add a couple of panels as an interim measure but remember: the new panels too will get dirty and yield will drop over time! |

abunafiu: My 2.25kW of PV panels (seasonally increased to 3kW, as now) drives my household appliances, plus pumps water into 2 water tanks (3,800L and 5,000L) via my 1HP submersible pump. Surely you know these as you've inspected and reviewed my system a few times. Considering your system currently dwarfs mine by nearly a factor of 2, I'm sure you could pump water for your entire neighbourhood! PS: The 1HP pump sends the water into the 3,800L mounted 3 storeys above the ground and fills it in under 30 minutes when empty. You're certified to start a water works! |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by samnaija: 6:54pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
mcci: chairman its been miserable. but as of today 1.7kwh/day was generated. i still pump water and use my fridge. on a good wheather day highest from the system is 4.5kwh/day. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by samnaija: 7:00pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
durodee: i washed them about 3weeks ago. think i will wash them again like you suggested. |
