I propose that we apply that Know Your Customer (KYC) principle here. u filled in forms and upload relevant stuffs. Also, we need that reputation index... Asin, how many deals have u closed and ur no-shows. it will go a long way in reducing scam

Please let's be honest with ourselves. Anybody who is scammed on this thread shouldn't be pitied IMHO. What's difficult in running background checking on who you want to trade with? Or maybe people are afraid of verifying who they are about to trade with.

I'll keep saying it: it is greed that is making people get scammed. If someone works very hard before earning his money, he will not be lazy in running background check before dealing with anybody.

Some people will think they are wise. When they are scammed twice, they will know they know no better.

To be honest ,the stories just posted sound too stupid to be true. But ppl will have to use their brains to choose what to believe and what not to believe . Ppl should be very very careful ,don't trade anyhow with anyone,no matter the story the person puts up about any past experience . Nairaland is a forum and not a police station and like one of my friends use to say if you pay without any proper intelligent sensible reasonable verification your "money is gone" so you will just have to "enter the wall". There is no Interpol or cid here to get ur money back for you.

All these things self might not work, because most traders advertise goods they don't have apart from that a person in this thread may have more that 3 different accounts which he use simultaneously.
