lielbree:People like you talk on rumors without following facts. CAN endorsed GEJ. at a meeting held at the RCCG, Oyedepo and other powerful pastors were in attendance, they endorsed GEJ. Osibanjo was almost booed at a conference he attended after his candidacy was rejected by RCCG who said GEJ will serve the interest of the Christians better than Buhari. I can still remember this vividly. 5 Likes |

I do not know if pastor adeboye was rightly quoted but if he was then his speech was regrettable. The law was enacted since 2011, why was he making it sound as if it was a new law. Also, the position of the newly created G.O Nigeria has been undermined by his speech. Baba has stylishly defined his scope and limited authority for him. Before you come for my head, why is it that only pentecostal church is complaining about this regulation?; what happens to the Anglican, methodist etc of this world. Note I'm also a christian. Enough said. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians love to politicise everything in relation to tribe and religion, how pathetic! This law was made in 2011, that's about 5 years ago, the church bodies took FG to court and hence the law couldn't be implemented until recently when the church bodies lost in court which means the law has to be put into effect now, so what's all the noise about and accusations that Buhari has a hand in this? I attend Redeemed and I applaud Daddy GO's resignation, others should follow. The truth is that the church is no longer a little entity, there is a lot of money in the church, and any place where there is a lot of money going around it needs to be regulated and watched closely to keep things at check, its done in EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, Nigeria shouldn't be an exception. 8 Likes 1 Share |

I am a Christian and stand against any move to denigrate the church. However, let's stop being emotional and save President Buhari some slack; the law was promulgated in 2011 and the prevailing issue is section 50 of the Financial Reporting Council Act, 2011. 7 Likes |

What Adeboye is crying about was what Chris Okotie tried to do many years ago but Nigerians and the Church refused to support him. He met Adeboye for support then, but he was not supported. Now the chicken has come home to roost 1 Like |

rhektor:This is not the first time we are having a Muslim as a President. How come the Muslim intolerance for Christians is at an all time high at this time? How come a law that was passed in 2011 is only taking effect now? And to answer your question directly, have you forgotten how vehemently Vice President Atiku fought against President Obasanjo in his bid for 3rd term? And before you claim Atiku was fighting for his own personal interest, ask yourself what is more personal to a man of God than his faith? 1 Like |

onatisi: Lol. U see when i call u a kindergarten fake prophet? The law was signed into law since 2011. CAN and others went to court and lost out. Abeg what is Buhari's business in this? He was not even holding a political position when the law was passed, instead your useless ineffectual buffon Christian god was in power when the law was signed. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If someone like him is the first to comply with such anti Christian laws what is it going to be of others? He has already sucumed to the Antichrist laws .but to my own opinion even if Christians should comply he shouldn't have been the first to do that because many are looking up to him |

If you don't desist from this unfounded views and the rest of your co-ideologists that support this stupid law are hell bound.Shame on all of you turning Bible upside down because you are lettered, what a wrong generation! . With this kind of law and regulations in place, accountability and transparency will be ensured as every administration will be moderated by their knowledge or fear of next administration which might bring them to book for what they do or fail to do. 2 Likes |

Nairalanded: There should be oversight when it comes to religion but you cannot politicize or accuse individuals of politicizing religion because religion is inherently divisive and therefor inherently political. The same is true of tribal affiliations which are even more fluid than religious allegiance. |

kodded:get some sense before you open that smelly anuus you call a mouth. The executive arm of govt don't make laws. They only implement. In the first place, he is talking about the pension laws. When was this law enacted? 2005 or thereabout. Also, this law does not stop him from paying whatever money he wants to pay as there is no ceiling or salary cap in Nigeria. Now, on the second law of a maximum of 20 years, when was it passed, during GEJs era when he was the religious father of the nation so what the point here you mentioning Osibanjo? 4 Likes |

thesicilian: Don't you guys ever read? RCCG's lawyers even stated days ago that the church bodies had the matter in court for the law not to be implemented and they lost just recently in court, they lost in court so the law has to be implemented, prior to now the matter was in court and the law couldn't be implemented. I don't know why Nigerians keep on making noise for nothing, do you think any force or human can kill the church or the christian faith? The God I serve is the almighty and there is no way the church can be killed here in Nigeria so why are you guys making unnecessary noise, what's so bad in making a large organisation appoint a new administrative/financial head after 20 years? Did the government appoint someone by itself to head the church administration? Isn't it the same church who appoints who ever they want? Like in this case Pastor Adeboye is still the spiritual leader of RCCG, and appointed someone to head the church administration and he appointed who he deemed fit, so what's the fuss about here? 9 Likes |
