My observation: Your counter is not base on factual records. I don't want to point out the fact that you're a little bit emotional.... Can you present your facts with written records to back your claims?
The Ekumeku war, seems to be the last resistance to British incursion into Southern Nigeria. If the Ishan and Binis influenced the movement, as you claimed, please do justice by presenting facts.
you people are mistaking the Ekumeku movement as a single movement. Bini and Esan didn't play any direct role on it but do you know we were under Bini province ? And reinforcement were being sent from Bini. That's the mistake you're making. I'm not going to waste my time in this. If you're interested in the subject, go and make a research on it with an open mind. There is no connection between Ekumeku and Nri.

Bini and Ishan didn't participate in the war but some Bini/Agbor /Owa politics of that era influenced the war. If you know about Anioma history you would understand what I mean. It's obvious you don't know about it so I'll ignore you
Ohooo shocked
Now they didn't participate again cheesy
Broz...I think you need to leave that Bini delirium you're presently under and face reality embarassed no matter how much you fall and dance for them, when push comes to shove they'd always see you for who you're..an Igboman!! grin
Here's a map of the colonial Midwest... You can see that only asaba and abō were the only Igbo divisions in the Midwest and when you look very well, the combined area corresponds to our envisioned Anioma state.
So how does what is happening mainly in asaba division affect the Ishan Mind you the Ishan had already surrendered like a decade earlier to the Brits.

Idu didn't send any reinforcements biko...even if we were allies, how'd Idu send reinforcement when they were under effective British occupation This is similar to the Axis powers after may 1945..how can imperial Japan expect aid from Nazi Germany when we all know the Nazis surrendered to the Allies on may 11,1945 and maybe like in June 1945 Japan would now be expecting help from the Nazis... That's a no brainer undecided
Moreover, when Anioma resistance collapsed, the British divided up Anioma and placed Ika under direct Idu overlordship to placate the Bini on account of 1897. All the Bini men sent as satraps/administrators to the various Ika princely states were murdered one after the other except in few places. This event is what pushed the Brits to leave ika in asaba division instead of the planned move to Benin division.

Since we have so many delta state people in the house.

I was just curious as to y the first Governor from the Agbo axis has not considered a legacy project in Agbo?

Okowa should build an International CARGO AIRPORT in Agbo that will serve the entire surrounding area.

He might want to compliment that with a DEEP SEAPORT in Warri.

This your comment corroborate my point. Bini people sent to Ika areas were Killed, British administrators were killed too. That's just a little about the Bini/Owa/Agbor politics I was talking about.

I never said Bini sent reinforcement for Anioma but the British sent reinforcement from Bini against Anioma. Bini wasn't directly involved. There's no where I said that. I wouldn't have involved Bini in Ekumeku war if not you that was trying to link Nri which didn't know there was an Ekumeku war going on. My point in mentioning Bini was to tell you if there is any outsiders that were involved in the Ekumeku war, it's the Binis and the Esan. Do you know that as mighty as Agbor Kingdom was that time, there were not much involved in the war? I'm sure you know why.

lol..... Have you ever seen an Igala person wanting to be Igbo?
Not me, not anyone.
Igalas interacted Heavily with both Yoruba and Benin, and are religiously plural, just like Yorubas and Edos.
The mask that the Atta wears (oju b'eju ailo) is even said to be gotten from the benins. Some said in a war, others said as a gift.

Ultimately even if we leave Igala alone, they will never be part of you guyz.... Just telling you that now, incase you think you can try anything.
If a referendum is held today, 70% of Igalas will chose to go with Oduduwa over Biafra. Thats just the fact.

I am igala by tribe and the truth is that most southern igalas may prefer to go with igbos while most northern igalas will prefer a yoruba or hausa union. So to avoid things like this, we may have to stay neutral.

watch this video and listen to the similarity of sounds between igbo and ebira.

She is igbo and he is Ebira. Come back and let us laugh together.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AnTyKfaagM&ab_channel=J%27sworld

I am from Kogi and i can truly confirm that Ebira sounds like Igbo a lot, some Ebira names can be clearly mistaken for Igbo. U hear Ebira names like Ozioku, Ozioma, Eziogu, Orahachi.
We all in the south and middlebelt of Nigeria (Kogi and Benue) are under Niger-congo classification of languages. So it is normal for us to have similarities.

They forgot that more than half of the Ebira & igalas are muslims. Meanwhile the 'nation' of Biafra is meant to be the Christian Democratic Republic of Biafra!! wink

Yes, more than half of Ebiras are muslims, like 65- 70%, but for we Igalas, we are predominantly christians like 60% of us are christians.

I am from southern igala land and over 90% of us are christians. Even among the northern igalas it is like a 50/50. Many igalas are leaving islam just like many yorubas and Auchi people are doing.

This is the Tiv in middle belt, with their own stripes of black and white. wat is the difference with the picture posted as Ebira being yoruba? undecided

The truth is that middlebelt people share many things in common with Hausas, Yorubas and Igbos. It is the centre of Nigeria and like a mix of cultures.

When it comes to clothes, yes, most Kogi, Benue and Niger state clothes look very much like Yoruba clothes.
However, a section of Igala and Idoma also dress like Igbos, but the colourful striped style Agbada-like clothes which is more yoruba is dominating we Kogi and Benue peoples.
Sometimes i wonder why we middlebelt people were ever classified as northerners with hausa-fulanis when it is obvious that we share more in common with Yorubas, Edos and Igbos.
I hope we redefine our identity as Central Nigerians soon enough

We the Great Igbo Nation has and would always support an independent, unaligned Igala country. This Igala neutrality is what I argued sometimes ago with someone who was busy talking rubbish undecided about being in an Izoduwa commonwealth

These towns were never fully Bini of course but Igbo is never the majority constituents. Anioma for example is mixed with many different people but Igbos are on a mission to wipe out any trace of Bini in Anioma land. They plan to achieve this through propaganda and fabrications and if you put their population into consideration, you will understand how simple this is for them to achieve.

I think u should learn to live with it cos it's natural, unless you guys have a different country from Igbos and stop interracting with them. Most minority ethnic groups in the north are being Hausanized, while others have already been hausanized.

The Agbada actually belongs to Africa, u will find people in the Senegal and Gambia as well as Sudan wearing Agbada.

The northerner classification was the demand of the Sardauna before agreeing to membership of Nigeria.

Clearly, their is a marked difference between people of the middle-belt and the Core North.

Yes, o!! shocked Unless the Attah of Igala makes a definitive statement on this issue, I will not take the words of one Igala person who does not have the full facts of the case. At least, the Attah will consult far and wide within his domain, before he makes a statement. And the Igala population exceeds 5 million people in Nigeria. case of Lagos is different. I've been to Isele Uku and talked with indigenes. Igbo is a major language so it can easily influence some people around them. And Igbos have high population and have a way of trying to igbonize everything they come in contact with and they seem to succeed most times. I'm saying this from experience.

Going tru ur comments bro.so u are saying a whole language was completely replaced.don't u think its actually possible they ve always had d language but once ruled by d gr8 Bini empire.u may have a point though, but how do u explain d names seeing that over 95% of their names are ibo names.there's no way it can just be attributed to igbonization.Even d kings title is obi,his name,so is his uncles names, cousins, relatives n so on.
